3 to 4 hrs... Depends on the volume of names of people, things and places as i have to cross reference them to old chapters, and double check them with original chinese names. Some names have been written differently but they are pertaining to just one person. This is confusing to us who are used to western naming. Most of the times i need to rephrase the lines, phrases, sentences and expressions to make it make sense to us, readers in english. Chinese have their own slang, jargons and expressions that will not make sense when we google translate them.. It has to be rephrased to western expressions. And i do read them 2x to 3x. One of the hardest part is to make the narration clear on whos speaking, who they are talking. I have to put some rephrasing to make this clearer

Chapter 1171: A Fateful Challenge

Inside the meeting hall of Zypher Lodge, things were intense.

Dustin, holding a teapot, poured two cups of tea – one for Cornelius and one for himself.

"How did it go? Did you deliver the challenge letter?" Dustin asked after sipping his tea.

"It's been delivered," Cornelius nodded.

"And what's the response from the Martial Alliance?" Dustin inquired further.

"As far as I know, Ronald Reeds is still in seclusion (a period of intensive and solitary training undertaken by a martial artist), but the Martial Alliance members are furious after receiving the challenge. I believe the letter will soon reach Ronald's hands," Cornelius replied, finishing his tea.

"Excellent, that's the effect I wanted," Dustin smiled slightly.

The death of Erik would undoubtedly shake the Martial Alliance. Luckily, he would use this opportunity to drop another bombshell. After all, he knew that sooner or later, he would face Ronald in a life-and-death battle.

"Master, do you think you might be acting a bit recklessly with this challenge?" Cornelius expressed his concern. "Ronald is the leader of the Five Ultimate Grandmasters and the foremost martial artist in Balermo. His strength is beyond measure, and almost no one equal or below the rank of Grandmaster can match him. He's like an ‘immovable mountain’."

In reality, Cornelius had phrased this as delicately as possible.

Ronald was invincible in Balermo.

Though Dustin was undeniably powerful and had even defeated the Grandmaster Augustus, he still lagged far behind Ronald.

If he waited for another five or ten years, his talent might give him a fighting chance. But right now, it was undoubtedly a suicidal endeavor. Cornelius couldn't comprehend why he had made such a decision. Why not endure a little longer and seek revenge when the odds were better?

"Why? Do you think I can't beat Ronald?" Dustin raised his teacup, savoring the aroma.

"Your odds are just too low," Cornelius replied without confirming. "Master, you're in your early twenties, while Ronald is over fifty. He has nearly thirty more years of training, experience, and strength than you do. You're at a significant disadvantage. If you trained for another five to ten years, you'd have a much better chance."

"I can't wait that long," Dustin shook his head. "Ronald possesses the Sky Spirit Orb. Given some more time, he will break through to the Grandmaster infinity level. By then, he'll be even more formidable. Right now, this is our best opportunity."

"While that may be true, your public challenge is still too risky," Cornelius said, his face serious.

"Don't worry; I wouldn't have issued the challenge if I didn't have some confidence. Whether I win or lose, the outcome will be clear tomorrow," Dustin said calmly.

"But..." Cornelius wanted to say more but was interrupted by Dustin. "That's enough. My decision is final. Also, don't inform Miss Natasha about this. I don't want her to worry."

"Understood," Cornelius sighed, nodding.

"You can go and rest for now. I need to prepare myself for tomorrow's battle," Dustin said, waving his hand.

"Very well, I'll take my leave."

Cornelius bid his farewell and left.

"Sky Sword," Dustin murmured.

"Swoosh!"

In the darkness, a streak of black light shot forward.

A black ancient sword suddenly flew into the meeting hall, precisely landing in Dustin's hand, quivering slightly and emitting a pleasing hum.

"My friend, let’s win this together," Dustin said as he caressed the sword's blade, murmuring to himself.

Tomorrow's battle would be a fight for life and death, and he had more than just revenge in mind – he aimed to cleanse the Balermo Martial Alliance.

Chapter 1172: The Martial Alliance's Buzz

...

The next morning, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement at the headquarters of the Martial Alliance.

Since the news of Dustin challenging Ronald had spread yesterday, the entire martial world was in an uproar.

Martial sects and martial practitioners from all corners flocked to witness this extraordinary showdown.

Dustin's reputation as a Young Grandmaster had long reverberated throughout the Balermo martial world. His feats in martial tournaments, defeating the Grandmaster Augustus, and his stunning performance in the Black Forest had turned him into a legend, widely celebrated.

Countless young martial aspirants regarded Dustin as their idol and inspiration.

As for Ronald, his reputation was even more daunting.

He was the leader of the Balermo Martial Alliance and the number one martial artist in the world of martial arts, a figure that could awe anyone.

The clash between a Young Grandmaster and the martial world's leader, the confrontation of two mighty titans, naturally drew an enormous crowd.

At this moment, the entrance to the Martial Alliance was swarmed with people.

Martial sects and schools of all sizes in Balermo sent their representatives.

The likes of the Skycrane Sect, the Shinefield Sect, the Soul-suppressing Sect, the Temple of Boundless Compassion, the Galewind Hall, and the Stellar Gate, among others, all came to witness the event.

Some of these sects still harbored resentment toward Dustin due to the Black Forest incident, and they saw this as an opportunity to kick him while he was down.

In many people's eyes, Dustin's challenge to Ronald was like a moth flying into a flame, a path to self-destruction.

As the sun rose, the gates of the Martial Alliance finally opened.

Representatives from various sects began to enter.

In no time, the martial arena was filled to capacity, leaving some smaller sects and latecomers standing, unable to secure a spot.

To maintain order and prevent any disruptions, the Martial Alliance had deployed an enforcement team.

"Hey! What do you mean by this? Why won't you let us in?" A commotion erupted at the entrance to the Martial Alliance.

Several young men and women were blocked by Law Enforement from entering.

"The martial arena is already full, no more entry. If you have a problem with that, go back where you came from," the team leader of the Law Enforement said bluntly.

"No more entry? Then how did they get in?" A sweet-faced girl with twin ponytails pointed at a group that had just entered, clearly dissatisfied.

"They're from the Crimson Cloud Sect, a prominent sect in the Balermo martial world. Can you compare yourselves to them?" The team leader of the Law Enforement spoke coldly.

"Hey! Look down on us, do you? So what if it's the Crimson Cloud Sect? We're from the Zenithblade Order, and we're no less than them!" The twin-tailed girl argued logically.

"That's right! We won't stand for this discrimination! What gives the Crimson Cloud Sect the right to enter while we can't?" Other martial practitioners joined in the protest.

"What Zenithblade Order? I've never heard of it. It sounds like some small sect from the middle of nowhere. Get lost and stop causing trouble here!" The enforcement team leader was growing impatient.

Do you... do you really look down on us so much?"

At this moment, a man in green suddenly stepped forward and shouted, "I am Cameron Steele, the senior disciple of the Zenithblade Order, and I am destined to become a generation's Grandmaster! I warn you, let us in now, or when I rise to fame, you won't be able to beg for our presence!"

"A Grandmaster?!" The enforcement team leader sneered and gave Cameron a resounding slap, sending him tumbling to the ground. He cursed, "What a load of nonsense! If you can become a generation's Grandmaster, then I'm a future immortal!"

Chapter 1173: Clash with the Enforcement Team

Smack!

A resounding slap sent Cameron tumbling to the ground, disoriented and unable to get up.

"Hey! What are you doing? Have you no sense of reason?" The girl with twin ponytails was both shocked and enraged.

She hadn't expected the Law Enforement personnel to be so brutally unreasonable, resorting to violence at the slightest provocation.

"Reason? We are the law in the Martial arts world!" The team leader of the Law Enforement was arrogantly domineering. "You people from these third-rate sects have no qualifications to enter the Martial Alliance to watch. You're worthless. Now, get as far away as possible, or I'll beat you every time I see you!"

"You're abusing your power! I'll report you!" The twin-tailed girl couldn't contain her anger.

"Report us?" The team leader's face darkened. "You damn b*tch! I think you're tired of living!"

As he finished speaking, he abruptly drew his sword and swung it toward the twin-tailed girl.

The girl screamed in fear, realizing it was too late to dodge.

Just as it seemed she was about to be struck down, a large hand suddenly reached out and grabbed the team leader's arm. The sharp blade hung in mid-air, unable to descend.

The person who intervened was a handsome young man dressed in ordinary clothing.

Behind him stood a lean, elderly man.

"Who are you? How dare you stop me?" The team leader of the Law Enforement frowned.

"You resort to violence at the slightest provocation, is this how the Law Enforcement always acts?" Dustin spoke calmly.

"We in the Law Enforcement have always acted this way. Who dares to defy us?" The team leader of the Law Enforement replied fiercely. "You brat! I warn you not to meddle further, or don't blame me if I show you no mercy with my blade!"

"Your Law Enforcement seems to have quite an air of superiority, acting tyrannically and oppressing the weak. What used to be an honorable alliance of martial practitioners has now become a chaotic mess because of your behavior," Dustin shook his head.

"Cut the nonsense! Get lost now, or I'll cut you down!" The team leader of the Law Enforement was growing impatient.

"You're so stubborn."

Dustin extended a finger and lightly tapped the team leader's chest.

Boom!

A loud explosion echoed. The team leader was sent flying several meters away as if hit by a speeding car. His chest caved in, blood spewing from his mouth. After convulsing a few times, he lost consciousness.

"Captain!"

The other Law Enforement members were taken aback and turned their furious gazes toward Dustin.

"Daring to harm our captain? You're truly asking for it!"

"Brothers, let's take him down!"

Several Law Enforement members were infuriated and immediately drew their swords, preparing to attack.

"Enough!"

Before Dustin could react, Cornelius suddenly moved forward. His palms danced rapidly, and within moments, he had knocked down all the Law Enforement members.

"Well done!"

"Damn it! These scoundrels, relying on the support of the Law Enforcement, have been bullying others and looking down on people. They deserved to be beaten!"

Dustin and Cornelius's actions earned them applause from the surrounding martial practitioners.

These martial practitioners who had been blocked from entering the venue had all experienced unfair treatment.

Now, witnessing the Law Enforement being beaten, they couldn't help but feel relieved.

"Thank you both for stepping in to help."

Chapter 1174: Arrogant Challenge

At this moment, the girl with twin ponytails stepped forward and greeted Dustin and Cornelius with clasped fists. "I'm Aria Stormblade, a disciple of the Zenithblade Order. May I know your esteemed names?"

"My name is Dustin, and this is Cornelius," Dustin introduced simply.

"Senior Dustin, Senior Cornelius," Aria courteously greeted them again.

"Damn it! Who let you interfere earlier?" Cameron, who had been slapped, finally regained his senses and immediately ran to the unconscious leader of the Law Enforement. He kicked and punched the fallen leader in a fit of anger and frustration.

After being slapped for no apparent reason, he had developed a murderous intent.

"That's enough, Senior Cameron. Don't hit him anymore, or someone might die," Aria hurriedly intervened, sensing the dangerous situation.

"Humph! He deserves to die for letting them interfere. Worthless scum, relying on someone else's backing!" Cameron was still unrelenting, kicking and punching the unconscious leader before finally feeling satisfied and walking away.

"Sir dustin, Sir Cornelius, this is our Elder, Cameron," Aria introduced once more.

"Pleased to meet you," Dustin nodded slightly.

"Humph! Who asked you to meddle just now?" Cameron wore a cold expression and spoke with displeasure.

"Hmm?" Dustin was momentarily confused.

Had this guy taken the wrong medicine?

"What's with your attitude, Elder? Sir Dustin and Sir Cornelius were helping us," Aria immediately explained.

"Help? Did I need their help? Even if they didn't intervene, I could have handled those trash!" Cameron stood with his hands on his hips, full of pride.

Finally, there was an opportunity to shine, but someone had stolen his thunder, and he was naturally unhappy about it.

"If you could have handled it, you wouldn't have been slapped and sent flying by that person just now," Cornelius remarked casually.

"You... what do you know!" Cameron's face froze, and he retorted angrily, "It was a sneak attack just now! If it had been an open and fair duel, even if all of them joined forces, they wouldn't have been my match!"

"He's right! Our Elder is exceptionally talented and powerful. He can take on a hundred opponents single-handedly without any problem!" Several other Zenithblade Order disciples expressed their agreement.

Among all the disciples of the Zenithblade Order, Elder had the strongest strength.

Once, he had single-handedly fought off more than ten bandits barehanded and had been hailed as a great hero by the villagers.

His reputation had spread far and wide.

"Sneak attack? He attacked you right in front of your eyes, so how is that a sneak attack?" Cornelius calmly responded.

"You... Do you understand anything?" Cameron glared at him and said, "I argued with him reasonably, but he suddenly attacked. If it weren't for that, do you think he could have hurt me? Honestly, if it had been an open and fair duel, even if all of them joined forces, they wouldn't have been my match!. If you dare to say that you can defeat me, why don't we have a friendly match to see who wins?" Cameron initiated the challenge.

If he couldn't even defeat an old man on the verge of death, he might as well jump off a cliff.

"Come on! Weren't you questioning our Elder's strength? If you have the guts, let's settle it on the stage and see who wins!" Other Zenithblade Order disciples joined in the provocations.

"Master Dustin, I ran out of my patience," Cornelius took a deep breath, showing signs of losing his temper.

These guys truly didn't know their own limitations.

"What? You don't dare to accept the challenge?" Cameron sneered. "Remember, from now on, keep your eyes open and don't try to provoke me, because you can't bear the wrath of a future grandmaster!"

Chapter 1175: Stirring Up Excitement

"Alright, Elder Cameron, let's not cause any more trouble!" Just when Cornelius was about to lose his temper, Aria immediately spoke up. "Regardless of the situation, Sir Dustin and Sir Cornelius helped us. Speaking to people like this is too disrespectful."

If it weren't for Dustin's intervention earlier, she might have already perished. Now, Cameron's disrespectful words made her feel quite unhappy.

"Aria, it wasn't my intention to cause trouble. These guys just looked down on our Zenithblade Order. I wanted to prove and show them the unique skills of our Zenithblade Order!" Cameron justified himself.

"Is this how you're showing them? It's clearly provocation! If you continue like this, I'll be very upset!" Aria frowned.

"Alright, alright, I was wrong earlier. I won't show off anymore. Please don't be angry," Cameron said with a conciliatory tone.

"Sir Dustin, Sir Cornelius, I'm sorry about my Elder. He can be a bit impulsive sometimes. I hope you two won't take it to heart," Aria turned around and apologized to Dustin and Cornelius.

"It's fine. Considering that you're a reasonable young lady, I won't hold it against this kid," Cornelius finally managed to suppress his anger.

"Humph! Just putting on a show!" Cameron sneered.

If they really fought, he could easily defeat this old man.

"Sir Dustin, Sir Cornelius, let's go in together," Aria extended an invitation.

"Please."

Dustin nodded without saying much.

The group entered the Martial Alliance and quickly made their way to the martial arts arena.

At this moment, the martial arts arena was filled with people, with various martial sects gathering together.

Of course, those who could sit in the front row were mostly prominent figures in the martial world.

The disciples of the Zenithblade Order looked around eagerly, their eyes filled with anticipation.

With their background, they had never seen such a bustling martial arts event before. Many of the influential figures here were people they admired and looked up to.

"Hey, isn't that Tristan Emberheart from the Galewind Hall? I heard that his leg techniques are extraordinary, combining softness and hardness to achieve the realm of leaving no trace. He's considered one of the top young talents in the martial world of Balermo!"

"Not just Tristan Emberheart, I see Adrian Storm from the Stellar Gate. It's said that he possesses mysterious techniques that can control people's minds at will. He's a formidable character!"

"Look over there! It's Victor Thorn! He's the number one expert of the Shinefield Sect, and at the age of thirty, he's already become a venerated figure in the Martial Alliance, with profound martial cultivation. He's a true genius!"

The disciples of the Zenithblade Order chattered excitedly, pointing and discussing the renowned talents of the martial world.

They hadn't expected to see such famous young prodigies in person.

"Humph! What's so impressive about them? They just have better resources and started cultivating a few years earlier than me," Cameron said sourly. "With my talent, if I had the resources they do, I would already be a Martial Grandmaster by now!"

"That's right! Elder has extraordinary talent, and there's no doubt he's on par with these people!" the others agreed.

"Elder, it's good to have confidence, but don't be too overconfident. We, the Zenithblade Order, still have some gaps compared to these renowned sects," Aria cautioned sensibly.

"Aria, it seems like you don't believe in my abilities," Cameron retorted with a challenging tone. "Let me tell you the truth: with a few more years of growth, even that renowned young grandmaster in Balermo would be no match for me!"

Chapter 1176: Overconfident

When Cameron made that statement, some of the nearby martial artists gave him strange looks. Who was this idiot? How dare he compare himself to a young grandmaster? This person had slain the Grandmaster Augustus and challenged the leader of the martial world. Even the top talents of various sects didn't dare to be so arrogant. Where did the audacity come from for an unknown person like him to boast like this?

"Elder, please be cautious with your words!" Aria furrowed her brows and whispered, "A young grandmaster is a rare martial genius once in a century, a monstrous existence. We can't compare ourselves to him."

They hadn't even reached the Innate Realm while a young grandmaster had become a Martial Grandmaster at the age of twenty-something. The gap between them was like heaven and earth. Even if they worked hard their entire lives, they wouldn't be able to catch up.

"Hey! Aria, are you trying to dampen his enthusiasm? You should know that your Elder is destined to become a martial master. Compared to that young grandmaster, there's no difference," Cameron said confidently.

"You're absolutely right! As long as Elder takes it seriously and breaks through to become a martial master, it's just a matter of time!" the disciples of the Zenithblade Order agreed.

"Young and ignorant, how could a mere Post-Natal Martial Artist dare to boast of reaching the Martial Master level? I don't know where your confidence comes from," Cornelius suddenly interjected.

He had been cultivating for decades, but he was still stuck at the halfway point to becoming a martial master. Hearing someone like Cameron, who lacked talent and strength, speak so casually about reaching the martial master level was absurd. He even dared to compare himself to Dustin; it was arrogance mixed with ignorance.

"Humph! What do you know? An old man with fading eyesight like you can't see my excellence?" Cameron raised his head and spoke righteously. "Believe it or not, give me three to five years, and I'll definitely break through to the Martial Master level!"

"Three to five years?" Cornelius sneered. "Even if you give yourself three to fifty years, it's still impossible. You might as well give up that hope."

"Heh! You old man! Look down on me, do you? If you dare, we can spar right here!" Cameron glared, ready to fight.

"Elder, not again!" Aria furrowed her brows.

"Aria, it's not my fault. This old man is deliberately provoking me," Cameron shrugged.

"Elder, everyone here is not to be trifled with. Don't be so arrogant in your speech, please be more humble," Aria advised.

"Aria, there's no other way. My talent is exceptional, and my strength is outstanding. Even if I wanted to be humble, I wouldn't be able to do it," Cameron shook his head and sighed, appearing as if he were struggling at a higher altitude.

"Oh? So powerful. In that case, I'd like to learn from you. May I ask who you are?" At this moment, a crisp female voice suddenly sounded.

Everyone turned to look and saw a group of young men and women dressed in martial attire, emanating strong auras, walking towards them.

Leading the group was a woman in a red robe with a white veil on her head. She held a longsword, and her eyes were cold and piercing. As she walked, an invisible pressure radiated from her, causing the crowd to automatically give way.

"Who are you?" Cameron sized her up.

The woman removed her white veil, approached slowly, and said coldly, "I am Serena, the Chief Disciple of the Boulderthorn hall in the Zen Order!"

Chapter 1177: Challenge Accepted

"What? Serena Skylar, Chief Disciple of the Boulderthorn hall in the Zen Order(aka Black-tortoise Sect)?!"

The moment Serena revealed her identity, the surrounding area erupted in astonishment.

The Zen Order was already one of the top sects in Balermo, and Serena, as the Chief Disciple of the Boulderthorn hall, was a renowned and formidable figure among her peers. Her profound cultivation and exceptional swordsmanship made her stand out among her peers.

"Rumors say Serena is ruthless and unfeeling, never hesitating to kill. It looks like these guys are in trouble."

"It serves them right! A disciple from a low-level sect dares to compare himself to a young grandmaster. He's truly arrogant and ignorant!"

The surrounding people began discussing animatedly, wearing expressions as if they were watching a show.

In the martial world, strength was the ultimate truth. Whoever had greater strength had the final say.

"So, you're Senior Serena. I've heard of your name for a long time," Aria quickly greeted with a respectful salute, trying to defuse the tension.

However, Serena didn't even spare Aria a glance and locked her cold gaze onto Cameron, saying in a chilly tone, "Didn't you just say that you have exceptional talent and strength? Come, let me witness it. Show me what you're made of."

With these words, she drew her sword and tossed the scabbard at Cameron's feet.

In the martial world, this was a challenge. If he accepted, it meant they would have an open and fair fight. If he refused, he would be ridiculed and his reputation tarnished.

"Madam Serena, my Elder was just making a joke. Please don't take it seriously," Aria quickly tried to smooth things over. "Today, everyone is here to witness the battle of grandmasters. There's no need to ruin the atmosphere. Please, as my Senior Sister, show some magnanimity and don't lower yourself to quarreling with us."

"Hmph! The young grandmaster is my idol. What are you? You dare to boast shamelessly! Now, you have two choices: either kneel down and apologize, or accept the challenge and have me break your legs!" Serena declared.

"Serena! Don't be so arrogant!" Cameron finally lost his temper and retorted, "Are you just relying on the backing of the Zen Order? What's so great about that? If it's a one-on-one fight, I might not necessarily lose to you!"

"Elder, what are you saying?" Aria was alarmed.

Serena was no ordinary person. She was the Chief Disciple of the Boulderthorn hall in the Zen Order, an Innate-level expert. Her Elder hadn't even touched the threshold of the Innate Realm. Why did he dare to challenge someone like her?

"Aria, don't worry. She's just a woman; I don't take her seriously. Watch how I defeat her today!" Cameron was brimming with confidence.

This was the perfect opportunity to make a name for himself. If he could defeat Serena, he would become a prominent young talent in Balermo.

"Elder, please..." Aria implored.

"Enough!"

Cameron interrupted Aria. "You stay here, Aria. Today, I'll use this opportunity to gain fame!"

With that, he walked confidently toward Serena, exuding an air of victory.

"Sister, don't worry. Elder must have made a breakthrough recently, and it will be easy for him to deal with a woman!" The disciples of the Zenithblade Order were filled with unwavering faith in Cameron.

"His courage is commendable! He dared to accept the challenge!" Serena squinted her eyes, her expression somewhat unfriendly.

"Hmph! Young and ignorant! He even dares to challenge a young grandmaster?" The surrounding crowd couldn't help but sneer.

In the martial world, the gap between Post-Natal and Innate martial artists was insurmountable. For a Post-Natal practitioner to challenge an Innate expert was akin to a moth flying into a flame.

Chapter 1178: The Duel

Serena's attack was incredibly fast and agile. She closed in on Cameron swiftly and executed a palm strike called the "AeroStrike Palm" from bottom to top, aiming for his chest and abdomen.

"Hmph! Trivial tricks!"

Just as Cameron was about to counter with a punch, Serena's palm struck his chest.

"Bang!"

A muffled sound echoed as Cameron was sent flying several meters through the air. While suspended mid-air, he coughed up a mouthful of blood, creating a mist of crimson droplets.

He crashed heavily to the ground, sliding a couple of meters before coming to a halt.

"Elder!"

Seeing this scene, the disciples of the Zenithblade Order were shocked, quickly rushing over to him.

They couldn't believe that their proud Elder had been sent flying with a single blow. Wasn't this a bit too weak?

"Before the battle, he was so confident, spouting all kinds of arrogant words. I thought he was amazing, but now this?"

"He's trash! He couldn't even block a single move, yet he dared to challenge Serena? He's utterly ignorant!"

"He's from a small sect, after all. There's no comparison with a giant like the Zen Order. They're just getting crushed!"

Watching Cameron, who was now coughing up blood on the ground, the crowd around them began pointing and sneering with disdain.

He couldn't even withstand a single strike from Serena, yet he had dared to boast about surpassing the young grandmaster? Wasn't this blatant foolishness?

"What a waste!"

Serena snorted disdainfully, "Someone like you isn't even worthy of polishing the young grandmaster's shoes. How dare you be so arrogant and shameless?"

"You…"

Hearing her words, Cameron, who had just struggled to his feet, coughed up another mouthful of blood, looking unsteady as he swayed.

"In the future, when you're out in the world, keep your mouth shut, especially when talking about the young grandmaster. If I ever hear you insulting him again, I won't spare you!"

Serena flicked her sleeve and turned to leave.

As she walked away, the crowd instinctively made way for her.

"Daring to insult me? I'll fight you to the end!"

Cameron gritted his teeth and suddenly pushed away the disciples who were trying to support him. Like a wild beast gone mad, he rushed toward Serena.

"Die!"

As he closed in, Cameron leaped high into the air and threw a powerful punch at Serena's back.

"Be careful!"

Shouts of warning echoed through the crowd.

"Hmm?"

Serena instinctively turned her head, but before she could react, she was struck by Cameron's surprise punch.

"Boom!"

A loud explosion rang out. Serena's body trembled from the impact, but her feet remained firmly planted on the ground, and she didn't move an inch.

On the other hand, Cameron, who had launched the sneak attack, was pushed back repeatedly by an internal energy force. His feet were unsteady, and he ultimately fell flat on his back.

Seeing this scene, the onlookers couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Who was this bizarre character who tried to sneak attack and ended up falling on his back? It was quite embarrassing!

Chapter 1179: The Mysterious Attacker

"Chicken! You're nothing but a chicken. You don't have the ability, so you dare to resort to sneak attacks."

"Failing with just one move was embarrassing enough, and now, you've completely lost your dignity."

"I'd probably find a hole to hide in if was him." Witnessing Cameron's futile attempt, the crowd couldn't help but laugh, their expressions filled with mockery and contempt.

Losing face to this extent in front of a large audience was truly humiliating.

"No... Impossible!"

The laughter and ridicule from the surrounding people made Cameron question himself for the first time.

He was the strongest Elder of the Zenithblade Order and was destined to become a generation's grandmaster. Whether it was talent or strength, he was considered exceptional. How could he possibly be unable to defeat even a female opponent?

Not only did he lose, but he was also defeated so miserably, unable to land a sneak attack and even injuring himself in the process. Could the gap between them be this vast?

Was he truly inadequate?

"You despicable scoundrel! I'll spare your miserable life, but you don't know how to cherish it and dare to resort to covert attacks?"

Serena slowly turned around, her beautiful face filled with a chilling aura. "Since you like seeking death so much, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

With those words, she suddenly drew her sword and then lifted her foot, thrusting directly upward.

The sharp sword aura tore through the air, emitting a piercing whistling sound.

"Ah?"

Cameron was struck dumb with fear. He attempted to struggle to his feet but found his legs going weak, unable to move. A sense of impending death washed over him.

"No!"

In a critical moment, Aria suddenly threw herself in front of Cameron, shielding him with her body.

"Self-destructive fool!"

Serena snorted and, without hesitation, thrust her sword upward.

"Whoa!"

"Clang!"

Just as it seemed that she was about to strike a fatal blow, a silver needle was shot out with precision, hitting the blade of her sword.

The tremendous impact caused the longsword to be knocked out of her hand, sending Serena staggering several steps backward before she could regain her balance.

"Who is it? Who's attacking in secret?"

Serena's sharp gaze scanned the surroundings, and anyone who met her eyes quickly raised their hands in surrender.

"Miss Serena, you can duel as you wish, but please refrain from killing innocent bystanders," said Dustin as he stepped out of the crowd.

Cameron's fate didn't concern him, but Aria, who had shown kindness and loyalty, didn't deserve to be killed so senselessly.

"Who are you?"

Serena furrowed her brows, scrutinizing Dustin.

Dustin's face looked somewhat familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere before, but she couldn't recall where.

"My identity is not important. I would just like to request that Miss Serena show mercy and avoid escalating this situation," Dustin replied with a slight nod.

"What if I refuse?" Serena retorted.

"In that case, I'll have to intervene," Dustin replied calmly.

As he spoke, he flicked a finger, and another silver needle shot out.

"Whoosh!"

The silver needle was incredibly fast and discreet. No one in the crowd had noticed its launch.

Serena only felt a cool breeze brush past her ear. When she turned her head to look, she noticed a strand of her hair slowly falling to the ground.

"Hmm?"

Serena's eyelids twitched, and her whole body became tense.

Throughout the entire encounter, she had never seen when Dustin had taken action.

What was the object that had just been shot, and what was its purpose?

It wasn't just her; no one in the vicinity had realized that Dustin had launched an attack.

In other words, if he had intended to kill her, she might have already been dead.

This person's concealed weapons were incredibly terrifying!

Chapter 1180: The Challenge of Liam

"When did such a young martial genius appear in the martial world?"

"Serena, have you encountered any trouble?"

At this moment, a man in green attire, accompanied by several young martial artists, suddenly approached.

The man in green attire had an imposing appearance, a powerful aura, and his eyes carried a sharp and oppressive demeanor.

People dared not look him directly in the eyes.

"Judging by their clothing, it seems like they are from the Soul-Subduing Sect?"

"Yes, and the leader of this group is Liam Mitchell, the chief disciple of the Soul-Subduing Sect."

"What? Liam? I heard that he's unparalleled in spear technique and has an unfathomable strength. He's one of the top young experts in the martial world, even stronger than Serena!"

"Even Liam has come. This should be interesting."

The appearance of the man in green attire, Liam, drew the attention of the crowd. The Soul-Subduing Sect may not have as many members as the Zen Order, but every one of them was an elite disciple. Especially the chief disciple, Liam, was a martial genius known throughout the martial world.

"Greetings, Elder Liam."

Serena respectfully greeted him with a salute. Although she was the chief disciple of the Zen Order, she was inferior to Liam in terms of status, position, and strength.

When it came to their levels, Liam corresponded to the Four great masters of the Zen Order.

"Sister Serena, what exactly happened?" Liam smiled as he asked.

He had always been interested in Serena. If there was a chance to play the hero and rescue her, it would be perfect.

"It's nothing, just a minor altercation. There's no need for Elder Liam to worry," Serena replied, shaking her head.

Geniuses had their pride, and she didn't want to rely on others to resolve her issues.

"Sister Serena, our two sects have always had a good relationship. You don't need to be ashamed," Liam said with a smile.

"Just now, who dared to bully my Sister Serena? Stand up if you have the guts!"

"Liam, it was him!" One of the Zen Order disciples pointed at Dustin and shouted, "This guy used hidden weapons to sneak attack and knocked away my Senior Sister's sword. It was despicable!"

"Shut up!"

Serena glared at her disciple.

"Oh?"

Liam's gaze shifted to Dustin, and he looked him up and down before coldly saying, "You have quite the courage to sneak attack Sister Serena. Now, I'll give you a chance. Cut off your own hands and kneel down to apologize to Sister Serena."

He spoke with an air of authority, and his words were domineering.

"Why should I?" Dustin raised an eyebrow and asked.

"Why should you?" Liam sneered. "Because I'm the chief disciple of the Soul-Subduing Sect, because I'm stronger than you, and because I have the authority to decide your life and death. Are these reasons sufficient?"

"So, according to you, whoever has the stronger fist has the right to decide everything?" Dustin countered.

"Exactly!"

Liam raised his head proudly. "In the martial world, strength speaks for itself. For disciples like you from small sects, when you step out of your sect, you must be humble or else you might bring disaster upon yourselves."

"That makes sense," Dustin nodded without agreeing or disagreeing.

He remembered that back in the Black Forest, that Alexander Cheng, who was the Sect Leader of the Soul-Subduing Sect, had never dared to speak to him like this. So, what kind of person did Liam think he was?

This arrogant and domineering attitude from Liam stirred up a commotion in the crowd.

Just a curious question, How do u guys know about this story? Where did u discover this, and where?

To be honest i wasn't reading stories before until i found this in Facebook. And it was like a only few chapters was there in that post, and it was trying to sell a subscription to sell the rest of the chapters. Luckily, I found this website where i continue reading until 900 chapters. I was so hooked to it that every chance i get, i read more. Its an addiction too embaracing to admit. Never had this urge to read to the last chapter.
I got it from Good novel app.. I was watching like 25adverts to read one episode. It was really annoying

Chapter 1181 - The Needle Shot

"Whoa, is this guy out of his mind? How can he talk to Liam like that?" exclaimed one onlooker.

"This kid is insane, completely unaware of how serious this is," added another.

"A warrior from a minor sect dares to challenge Liam, the elder of the Soul-suppressing Sect? He's practically begging for trouble!"

The murmurs and gasps rippled through the crowd in response to Dustin's audacious words.

People pointed and whispered, appearing utterly dumbfounded.

In the presence of a master like Liam, couldn't one simply surrender? Offer a few apologies, perhaps a bit of embarrassment, but at least you'd save your life.

But no, this guy had chosen a different path. He knew he couldn't win, yet he decided to confront Liam head-on. Wasn't that sheer recklessness?

"What's going through this guy's head?" Serena furrowed her brow, genuinely not wanting to escalate the situation. Unfortunately, Dustin's words had already taken the matter to an irreparable level.

It was no longer just about her; it was about the reputation and dignity of the entire Soul-suppressing Sect.

"Sir Dustin!" Aria said, his voice low and urgent. "He's the elder of the Soul-Suppressing Sect. We can't afford to offend him. We need to apologize quickly, or disaster will follow."

Serena alone was already a formidable opponent. Now, with the addition of the more powerful Liam, their situation had become dire.

"Boy, what did you just say? I didn't catch it. Would you be kind enough to repeat it?" Liam's eyes narrowed, his face darkening ominously.

Since gaining fame, no one had dared to disrespect him like this.

"You didn't hear me clearly? Alright, I'll oblige," Dustin replied calmly. "I said, even your master, Alexander Cheng, wouldn't dare to address me this way. So, who do you think you are?"

As soon as those words left Dustin's lips, Aria's face turned ashen.

Their fate was sealed. There was no way out now.

"Hey! Are you out of your mind? Are you trying to get us killed?" Cameron, who had once been very arrogant, was now visibly shaken.

After the recent battle, he had come to terms with reality and understood the vast gap between major and minor sects.

" I won't shed tears until the funeral," Serena shook her head knowingly. She understood that Dustin's words weren't just an affront to Liam; they had deeply offended the entire Soul-suppressing Sect.

"Boy, you're asking for death!" Liam finally couldn't hold back any longer. With a swift move, he lunged forward like a tiger, determined to tear Dustin apart with his bare hands.

In the face of this sudden attack, Dustin remained unfazed and simply flicked his finger.

"Whoosh!"

A silver needle shot out.

During his sprint, Liam felt his knees go weak, and he tumbled to the ground uncontrollably, looking utterly embarrassed.

The sight stunned everyone into silence, leaving them momentarily dumbfounded. No one had expected that the esteemed leader of the Soul-suppressing Sect, one of the top young experts, would tumble in such a humiliating manner in front of all their eyes.

It was the equivalent of public defecation without any toilet paper—utterly mortifying.

"Brother Liam, what is going on?" Serena's lips twitched, her expression strangely amused.

Liam struggled to his feet, inspected his knee, and discovered a silver needle embedded there.

"Damn it!" He yanked out the silver needle and crushed it into powder. His face contorted with rage as he glared at Dustin. "You dare use tricks on me?"

" Should you attempt another approach, I won't display the same leniency." Dustin replied coolly.

"Enough of this nonsense! You're dead! I'll tear you to pieces!" Liam bellowed in anger. "Someone hand me my weapon!"

Chapter 1182 - The Finger

"Here you go, Big Brother!" A Soul-Suppressing Sect disciple hurled a finely-crafted steel spear with all his might.

As Liam grasped the spear, his entire demeanor transformed.

It became sharp, domineering, and razor-focused.

Liam was renowned for his spear skills and advanced cultivation. His mastery of the spear was unmatched, and he had dominated the martial world for years without a worthy adversary.

Today, he intended to employ his renowned technique to astonish the world once more.

"Kid! Few have forced me to wield my spear in recent years, but you've earned that honor!" Liam snarled, his face contorted with fury. "Today, you'll meet your end by my spear, and you should be proud of that!"

With a fierce expression on his face, Liam released his spear with the swiftness of an arrow released from a drawn bowstring.

At the same time, he lunged forward with astonishing speed, quickly catching up to the spear and grabbing its handle. In an instant, Liam, now armed with his weapon, turned into a dark torrent and surged forward.

The torrent's trajectory created a tempest, making the nearby warriors' weapons tremble slightly.

"Chasing the Stars and Chasing the Moon!"

Liam and his spear melded into one, carrying an earth-shattering force as they relentlessly charged towards Dustin.

This awe-inspiring force left everyone in shock.

"What a devastating strike! He truly is a master of the spear!"

"Chasing the Stars and Chasing the Moon is Liam's signature move. Once he employs it, nothing can stop it. No one has ever cracked it."

"His first move is a killing blow. It seems this kid is finished!"

"Hmph! If you dare provoke the leader of the Soul-suppressing Sect, you deserve your fate!"

The surrounding warriors retreated as soon as Liam unleashed his special move, afraid of getting caught in its path and suffering its destructive power.

"Too slow," Dustin remarked as he faced the oncoming strike without evading, simply extending his finger tip.

With exceptional precision, this seemingly ordinary finger aimed directly for the tip of Liam's spear.

"Boom!"

A resounding blast echoed.

The previously earth-shattering force of the spear was instantly shattered.

Liam felt his entire body tremble, his arms going numb. The spear in his hand seemed to have wedged itself into a mountain, rendering it immovable.

"What?!" Liam scrutinized the situation with growing astonishment.

He freaked out when he figured out that the thing blocking his attack wasn't some shield or fancy magical stuff – it was just a finger.

Just an ordinary finger!

His renowned move, the super impressive thrust, got completely shut down by a lone finger.

How in the world was that even doable?

"Seriously?" Dustin shook his head, looking pretty let down.
He then slowly curled his fingers, aiming them at the spear's tip before flicking it gently.

"Boom!"

There was another deafening noise.

Liam's grip on the spear slipped away instantly.

The colossal impact made the steel spear recoil violently, its blunt end crashing mercilessly into Liam's chest as if it were a cannonball.

"Ah!" Liam shrieked in excruciating pain as his ribcage crumpled, and his entire body felt as if a truck had just plowed into him. He was flung several meters away, landing on the ground with a thunderous crash.

His face contorted in agony, and he coughed up blood, unable to get back on his feet.

"What?!" Onlookers were left in sheer disbelief and astonishment.

Nobody had foreseen that Dustin would not only defeat Liam but do so overwhelmingly.

Liam, the top disciple of the Soul-Suppressing Sect and a rising star in the martial world, had been soundly defeated by a single finger from Dustin. It was an utterly unimaginable turn of events.

Just who in the world was this guy?

Chapter 1183 - The Astonishing Upset

"Holy cow! Is this real? This guy defeated the Soul-Suppressing Sect's leader with just one finger?"

"What's going on here? How can this kid be ridiculously strong?"

"Where on earth did this beast come from? It just utterly defeated Liam. Unbelievable!"

The unexpected twist in events sent shockwaves rippling through the crowd.

Initially, Liam had been seen as the undisputed favorite, but he was effortlessly subdued by Dustin.

The glaring disparity in their abilities was evident to everyone.

Speculations and theories were running wild, and the atmosphere crackled with disbelief.

"Is he seriously this formidable?" Serena's eyes widened in amazement. At first, she had believed that Dustin's forte lay solely in concealed weaponry, but she hadn't anticipated such sheer physical strength.
With just one finger, he'd sent Liam flying. Among the young warriors of Jiangnan, it seemed no one could match him.

"Du... Sir Dustin actually defeated Liam?" Aria rubbed her eyes, doubting if she'd seen correctly.

Liam, the chief disciple of the Soul-Suppressing Sect, was someone they'd held in high regard. To think that Dustin had defeated him in a single move was simply inconceivable.

"The leader of the Soul-Suppressing Sect is a disappointment, isn't he? He can't even beat this kid. What a disappointment!" Cameron sneered, his arrogance making a swift comeback.

In his view, he was superior to Dustin. If Dustin could defeat Liam, then he had a chance to perform even better.

With that thought, he regained his lost self-assurance.

"Who... are you?" Liam rose shakily to his feet. When he gazed at Dustin once more, fear filled his eyes.

He had never fathomed that a peer could humiliate him in such a degrading manner, rendering him utterly defenseless.

"You're not entitled to know who I am. Just summon your master," Dustin responded calmly.

"Young man, don't be overly audacious!" Liam's expression grew somber. "I acknowledge your strength, but you lack the qualifications to challenge my master!"

"Challenge? No, you've got it wrong. I've come to educate him," Dustin clarified.

"Arrogant!"

"Disrespectful!"

Dustin's words triggered a furious response from the disciples of the Soul-Suppressing Sect. Their anger flared, and they were prepared to confront him. While they might not match Dustin's strength individually, they believed that together, they could overpower him.

"Young man, you're walking a dangerous path! How dare you disrespect our master? It appears you've become weary of life!" Liam seethed.

"Strength is indeed commendable, but don't let arrogance cloud your judgment. The leader of the Soul-Suppressing Sect is the renowned Grandmaster Alexander Cheng, and you're not in any position to challenge him," Serena advised.

She respected Dustin's abilities but felt that his demeanor and behavior were excessively conceited.
Even if he had defeated Liam, challenging Alexander Cheng was tantamount to overestimating his own abilities.

"Sir Dustin, perhaps it's best to let this go and not escalate the situation," Aria advised in a hushed tone.

Martial arts masters were considered nearly god-like figures by ordinary warriors, seemingly untouchable and far beyond their league. Openly challenging them was often seen as a guaranteed path to one's demise.

"I won't back down. Call for Alexander Cheng, and I'll confront our unresolved issues right now," Dustin stated with a chilling resolve.

"You... Your audacity knows no bounds!" Liam seethed, his face twisted with anger.

Their master had been humiliated, and as the chief disciple/elder, he felt a deep anger, but his own strength was woefully inadequate to confront Dustin.

"Who has the audacity to speak my name so disrespectfully?" In that moment, a commanding and majestic voice thundered through the air.

Salamat master...

The wonderful read keeps flowing. Thanks!

Chapter 1184: A Little Prelude

The voice wasn't particularly loud, but it cut through the chatter in the audience like a knife. An invisible weight descended, silencing the crowd.

Following the sound comes a rugged, white-bearded old man striding towards us, head held high.

The old man was clad in a black robe, his appearance weathered and his eyes sharp. The strong wind swirled around him, causing his robe to rustle like a flag in the wind.

There wasn't any flashy display of power, yet an aura of gravitas and majesty surrounded him, akin to Thor, the Norse God of Thunder.

No need for any grand entrance; the mere presence of the old man demanded everyone's attention.

This figure was none other than the leader of the Soul-suppressing Sect, Alexander Cheng!

"Oh my, Grandmaster Alexander Cheng is really here! Something significant is about to go down!"

"This young lad's arrogance knows no bounds. Challenging Grandmaster Alexander Cheng? He's gotten himself into a real mess now!"

"Why flaunt your prowess? Why not keep a low profile? It's like he's courting disaster. Now that Grandmaster Alexander Cheng has shown up, let's see how this ends!"

"Talk about asking for trouble!"

Whispers and pointing fingers filled the air.

People glanced at Dustin with a touch of sympathy. His act had been too brazen, and it had successfully lured Grandmaster Alexander Cheng out. It was like lifting a rock only to drop it on one's own foot.

"It's finished, it's truly finished," Aria quivered, teetering on the brink of collapse.

Her lovely face wore an expression of despair.

"Damn! This lad is beyond foolish. He couldn't just keep quiet, had to provoke a martial arts master. Isn't that practically suicide? Don't drag us into this mess!" Cameron muttered, panic-stricken.

No matter how self-assured he might be, he wouldn't dare to be insolent in front of a martial arts master.

"Sigh... A true genius, and he might die here today," Serena sighed, shaking her head with a heavy heart.

If Alexander Cheng hadn't appeared, Dustin could have escaped unharmed. But now, there was no way out.

"Master! You've finally arrived!" Liam staggered forward to greet him.

"What happened? How did you get injured like this?" Alexander Cheng examined Liam up and down, a slight frown creasing his forehead.

"Master, an individual had the audacity to provoke the Soul-Suppressing Sect. Not only did he injure me, but he also spread false allegations, attempting to cause trouble for you. His insolence knows no bounds!" Liam exclaimed indignantly.

"Oh?" Alexander Cheng's face darkened. "Who dares to challenge me?"

"Master, it's him!" Liam pointed at Dustin, his voice dripping with disdain. "This kid is so arrogant; he doesn't take you seriously at all."

"Is that so?" Alexander Cheng turned his gaze towards Dustin, preparing to assert his dominance. However, upon seeing Dustin's face, he froze, beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead.

A profound sense of dread washed over him.

The memory of the Black Forest remained vivid in his mind. Dustin's final sword had been nothing short of astonishing, haunting both gods and demons. It had severed Jan Crane's hand, dazzled Master Wary's eyes, and even left him gravely injured.

He had yet to fully recover from that encounter, and that single sword had cast a long shadow over him.

Now that he was face to face with his nemesis, fear gripped him even before the battle had begun.

"Alexander Cheng, we meet again," Dustin declared coldly, his eyes piercing. "Since Ronald Reeds hasn't shown up yet, how about we have a little prelude, settling our old and new scores right here and now?"

At those words, Alexander Cheng trembled and felt an overwhelming sense of terror.

Then, to the astonishment of onlookers, he turned and fled without goodbyes...

Chapter 1185: The Astonishing Escape

"He took off..."

As Alexander Cheng hastily retreated in embarrassment, a stunned silence fell over the crowd.

Wide-eyed disbelief painted every face in the audience.

What in the world was happening?

The illustrious headmaster of the Soul-suppressing Sect, a renowned martial arts master, had just fled in fear?

What about his reputation as a headmaster?

Where was the dignity of a master?

Had he thrown it all away?

"Master, where are you going?" Liam stammered, seeking answers.

"Elder Liam, there's an urgent matter at home. I'll return as soon as I can," came Alexander Cheng's slightly trembling voice from a distance.

As he spoke, he practically greased his shoe soles and bolted faster.

After all, he hadn't fully recovered from the injuries inflicted upon him in the Black Forest during their last encounter. He hadn't expected to cross paths with this bad omen again.

If he didn't make his escape now, when would he?

Facing a direct confrontation, he might well lose his life here.

A smart person knows when it's time to quit.

Losing some face was better than losing one's life.

"...," Liam's mouth twitched, and he was momentarily at a loss.

Since he had known his master, he had never seen him in such a state of panic.

It was as though he had encountered something truly sinister.

What could possibly terrify his master to this extent?

"What's going on? Why did Grandmaster Alexander Cheng run away?"

"Wait... that can't be right. Could it be that my wife's giving birth?"

"Is it possible that... Grandmaster Alexander Cheng is scared?"

Watching Alexander Cheng flee, everyone exchanged bewildered glances, staring at each other in disbelief.

No one had anticipated this turn of events.

When he first appeared on the scene, Alexander Cheng had exuded an air of awe-inspiring dominance. Every action he took radiated the majesty of a martial arts master.

They had even thought Dustin was in for trouble.

But in the blink of an eye, Alexander Cheng had looked as if he'd seen a ghost, fleeing in terror without daring to glance back.

It was truly mind-boggling.

"This old fox sure can run fast," Dustin muttered.

Truth be told, he hadn't expected Alexander Cheng to turn tail and run.

Usually, there would be some posturing, some trash talk, and then they would engage in a fight, with the winner decided in the ring.

But what had happened instead?

The esteemed headmaster of the Soul-Suppressing Sect, a formidable martial arts master, hadn't even possessed the courage to engage. He had simply fled.

Was this an act of cowardice, or was he simply biding his time?

"How... how could this happen?" Serena's beautiful eyes were wide with shock.

Alexander Cheng's strength far exceeded that of her own master, and he could even rival the leader of the Zen Order. It was simply inconceivable that someone of his caliber would flee without a fight.

What was even more unnerving was that Alexander Cheng's behavior had shifted the moment he laid eyes on Dustin.

Could it be that this young man before them had somehow struck fear into Alexander Cheng's heart?

The idea sent a chill down her spine, and it seemed increasingly likely.

So, the question remained: Who was this handsome man in front of her who could drive a martial arts master like Alexander Cheng to flee?

It was nothing short of astounding.

"Are we... saved?" Aria and the others exchanged bewildered glances.

They didn't know what had just happened, and they were utterly perplexed. However, one thing was clear: Alexander Cheng's hasty departure had saved them from a looming crisis.

Chapter 1186: An Unexpected Revelation

"Deputy sheriff Nolan! They are here; my people saw them coming in!"

Amidst the commotion, a cry pierced the air.

A contingent of martial arts law enforcement teams burst into the martial arts arena.

Leading them was the black-clad Deputy sheriff of the Martial Alliance, flanked by a man with a battered face and a swollen nose—the same captain of the law enforcement team whom Dustin had previously injured.

"It's trouble! The Martial Arts law enforcement team is here!"

Aria's expression darkened as she positioned herself in front of Dustin. "Sir Dustin, they're coming for you. Please leave quickly. I'll hold them off for you."

Dustin had saved her life before, and now it was her turn to repay the favor.

"Kid! Why bother about him? The law enforcement has the advantage in number of members. Let's hide and avoid trouble!" Cameron said, panic evident in his voice.

Though he was reasonably confident, he wasn't so self-assured that he believed he could take on the entire Martial Alliance.

"Sir Dustin, please, leave now! If you don't go, it might be too late!" Anxious, Aria urged.

"I've got no fear of Alexander Cheng, so there's no reason to fear these folks," Dustin said with a smile as he shook his head, protecting Aria behind him.

"Sir Dustin..."

Aria was about to say more when the Martial Arts law enforcement team arrived.

"Whoever disregarded their own life and dared to assault the Martial Arts law enforcement team, come out immediately and apologize!"

The leading Deputy sheriff in black held his hands behind his back, his demeanor arrogant, and his tone domineering.

The captain of the team that had been assaulted quickly spotted Dustin in the crowd and identified him. "Deputy sheriff Nolan! That's the kid! He's the one who attacked me! He's the one who challenged the authority of the Martial Alliance!"

"Whoa, you're really pushing it there...," the black-clad Deputy sheriff began to lay into them, but then, all of a sudden, his expression turned ghostly pale, like he'd been struck by lightning out of nowhere.

He was shaking like a leaf in the wind, totally unable to control his body.

"Kid! You actually had the guts to hit me earlier; well, your fate is now sealed!" The head of the law enforcement crew grinned like a maniac, his eyes full of absolute certainty.

"Du... Du..." The Deputy sheriff in black continued to wobble, sweat streaming down his face.

As a Martial Alliance Deputy sheriff, he had crossed paths with Dustin before. He had personally received the corpse of ‘the thunderstorm’ delivered by Dustin during the previous day.

The bold young man standing before him had actually dared to take down Alliance Leader Ronald's nephew. If he let violence erupt now, the Martial Alliance could turn into a complete bloodbath!

"Deputy Sheriff Nolan, no need for chit-chat. Grab this young man right now, and let's give him a taste of the Martial Alliance's justice!" The law enforcement team captain kept pushing.

"Arrest him? I'll arrest you, for crying out loud!" The black-clad deputy sheriff was taken aback, and he gave the team leader a couple of quick smacks across the face.

"Ah!!!"

The team leader stood there, dumbfounded and bewildered. "Deputy sheriff Nolan, why did you hit me?"

"You've got no eyes! This is Grandmaster Dustin, renowned throughout Balermo! How dare you show disrespect to Grandmaster Dustin? You deserve to be slapped!" The black-clothed Deputy sheriff was furious, landing two more resounding slaps.

"Nolan Brooks, Deputy Sheriff of the Martial Alliance, pays his respects to Grandmaster Dustin!" he declared with utmost respect, bowing deeply as he set aside his weapon after the fierce altercation.

"Grandmaster Dustin... Dustin?"

As the scene unfolded before him, the captain of the law enforcement team felt as though he'd been struck by lightning. He stood there, mouth agape, his mind racing with incredulity.

Could it truly be?

Was the figure standing before him none other than the legendary young master?

Silence enveloped them all, the weight of the moment sinking in like an anchor in their hearts.
The entire arena fell deathly quiet.

At that moment, everyone was utterly dumbfounded, their faces etched with shock.

"Dustin? Grandmaster Dustin? Could it be... he's the number one young master in Balermo?"

"Oh my, is this for real? This guy is a martial arts master?"

"No wonder he's so formidable, such a prodigy; no wonder even Grandmaster Alexander Cheng was terrified and ran away."

"I've heard about the young master for ages, but I've never laid eyes on him. I never imagined he'd be this dashing. He's certainly lived up to the adoration of countless female warriors."

After a moment of silence, the entire place erupted into chaos.

Chapter 1187: A Continuing Revelation

No one had anticipated the grandeur of Dustin's background.

Initially, they had assumed he was just a disciple from a small sect, perhaps a bit more talented than most.

Yet, they now stood face-to-face with the seemingly ordinary young man who was, in reality, the renowned young master, his true identity shattering their preconceived notions like fragile glass.

Since the Knighthood Society Tournament, he had skyrocketed to fame. He had slain Sir Augustus on Shinefield Lake and displayed unparalleled prowess in the Black Forest. And now, he had openly challenged the leader of the martial arts world.

Each of his actions had sent shockwaves through the region, creating a figure of unparalleled power and prestige, the likes of which had not been seen in Balermo for a century.

He was entirely unique among his peers, his reputation surpassing even that of some older masters, turning him into a living legend in the Balermo martial arts realm.

Now, as they witnessed this legend in the flesh, every eye was drawn to him.

"He... he... he... he's actually the Young Grandmaster?!" Liam stammered, his face drained of color, his eyelids twitching uncontrollably, his body trembling uncontrollably, as if the earth beneath him had shifted.

He had never fathomed that the person he had provoked just moments ago was none other than the infamous prodigy.

It made sense now. The ease with which Dustin had dispatched him with a single finger was no longer a mystery. And it explained why his master had been so terrified, fleeing in haste.

All the pieces fell into place.

"No wonder... no wonder he looked familiar. So, he's the person I've been searching for!"

At that moment, Serena's breath quickened. Her cheeks flushed, her beautiful eyes filled with admiration for the young master she had unknowingly crossed paths with.

She had witnessed Dustin's valiant display from afar during the grandmaster battle on Shinefield Lake. However, the distance had obscured his face.

Now, having seen him up close, she discovered that the object of her dreams was even more handsome and captivating than she had imagined.

Meeting in this way, was it fate taking a different turn?

"Sir Dustin, Dus... he's truly a martial arts master?" Aria was deeply shocked as she gazed at the tall figure before her.

She had never expected that Dustin, who seemed so approachable and unassuming, was, in fact, the famous young master—a top figure openly challenging the martial arts league's leader.

Her perception of him shifted dramatically in that instant, as the true scope of his identity and audacious goals became apparent.

It was a colossal revelation that seemed almost surreal.

"Damn..." Cameron, standing nearby, couldn't help but gulp, feeling a sudden chill on his scalp.

Boasting was one thing, but facing a martial arts master was a completely different experience.

It was akin to the awe and wonder ordinary people felt when gazing upon towering mountains.

Especially as he recalled his earlier audacious words, his fear grew, and a shiver ran down his spine.

"Grandmaster Dustin, please forgive our people's ignorance. We hope you can find it in your heart to forgive them," the black-clothed Deputy Sheriff implored, his head bowed, sweat forming on his brow.
Though Dustin had come to challenge the martial arts leader, he dared not show even a hint of disrespect.

At the level of a martial arts master, taking a life was as casual as plucking a weed.

If Dustin were to be offended and chose to act, no one would dare raise an objection.

"What are you all standing around for? Come here and apologize to Grandmaster Dustin!" The black-clad Deputy sheriff snapped, his tone stern and commanding.

Chapter 1188: Confrontation with the Martial Alliance

The captain of the law enforcement team snapped out of his daze, rushing forward with trembling steps, then knelt on the ground with a resounding thud. "Master Dustin! I've been blind; please don't hold it against me! Forgive me this time!"

He kowtowed repeatedly, displaying utter humility and dignity cast aside.

"You bunch of good-for-nothings! What are you doing?!"

Suddenly, a thunderous voice boomed, seemingly from thin air.

Simultaneously, Asher Reeds led a contingent of senior martial arts leaders into the martial arts arena.

Upon seeing the captain of the law enforcement team kneeling on the ground and the black-clad Deputy sheriff bowing and nodding, Asher's face darkened instantly.

"You disgraceful bunch! You've brought shame upon our Martial Alliance!" Asher bellowed, advancing to deliver a series of ruthless slaps to the two of them.

"Slap, slap, slap..."

They were beaten senseless, blood streaming from their mouths and noses. They dared not resist, enduring the humiliation.

When you offend a martial arts master, what choice do you have but to beg for mercy? Would you prefer death?

"Elder Asher, this is Master Dustin, who challenged Leader Ronald," the black-clothed Deputy sheriff ventured, hoping for clemency.

"How dare you utter such nonsense?!" Asher raged, delivering two more slaps to the Deputy sheriff. "Challenging the leader of the Martial Alliance makes you an enemy of our Martial Alliance. Yet you kneel before the enemy like a pair of spineless cowards!"

"I..."

Nolan, the black-clothed Deputy sheriff, struggled to find words, his face aflame.

Easy for you to say, but would you have the courage to challenge the martial arts master? Your bravado would crumble in a heartbeat.

"Are you Dustin?" Asher abruptly turned his attention to Dustin, his gaze filled with murderous intent, anger, and profound hatred.

"Yes, I am," Dustin affirmed. "Who are you?"

"I am Asher, an elder of the Martial Alliance!" Asher declared, his expression darkening further. "You committed a grave crime by killing my son last night, and now you dare challenge the leader of the martial arts alliance. Your audacity knows no bounds, you lawless scoundrel!"

Tensions in the room escalated as the confrontation between Grandmaster Dustin and the elder of the Martial Alliance unfolded, casting a shadow of uncertainty over their already precarious situation.

"Asher?" Dustin raised an eyebrow. "So, Ronald Reeds is your brother, and Erik is your son?"

"That's right!" Asher's teeth ground together. "You have committed a monstrous deed by killing my son, and today, you brazenly show up to challenge our martial arts alliance leader. You are a villain through and through!"

"You want to kill me? Do you have the capability?" Dustin sneered.

"If I had known you were coming, I would have set up a trap beforehand. Today, there's no escape for you!" As Asher spoke, he retreated abruptly, raising his hand to signal forward. "The three chief protectors are hereby ordered to apprehend this criminal!"

As soon as he uttered those words, three figures behind him suddenly shot up from the ground.

They soared more than ten meters into the air before landing around Dustin, effectively encircling him.

These three figures were clad in black robes and concealed behind featureless masks. Their aura was as profound as that of a demon, emanating a chilling malevolence.

The moment these three appeared, the temperature in the vicinity plummeted rapidly.

Onlookers recoiled in fright, as if jolted by an electric shock, hastily retreating to put distance between themselves and the newcomers.

Those who were a tad slower to retreat were immediately affected by the frigid cold, shivering uncontrollably.

Aria and Cameron, standing beside Dustin, were even more profoundly affected.

For a moment, they were frozen in place, unable to move, transformed into ice sculptures.

"Oh no! They've sent the Shadow Triad after Dustin. He's in real trouble!" Serena blurted out, her anxiety evident as she watched the situation unfold.

Chapter 1189: Facing The Shadow Triad

"I never expected that they'd even call upon the The Shadow Triad. Asher is truly sparing no expense!"

"It's rumored that the The Shadow Triad are all martial arts masters. Although Dustin is formidable, taking on three of them at once is a tough proposition."

"What kind of tactic is this from the Martial Arts Alliance? They initially came to challenge the leader of the Martial Arts Alliance, but now they seem to want to overwhelm the minority with numbers. Isn't this a blatant disregard for martial ethics?"

Warriors in attendance couldn't help but voice their thoughts as they observed the three figures in black robes and masks.

The the Shadow Triad were the Martial Alliance's hidden trump card, holding a rank higher than that of the elders, second only to the alliance leader and deputy alliance leader.

They were never deployed lightly, reserved for times of dire crisis within the alliance.

No one knew the true extent of their power, and no one had ever glimpsed their faces, for all who had attempted had met their demise.

The last time the Shadow Triad had been dispatched was a decade ago when Ronald Reeds assumed leadership of the alliance.

That day, a faction of rogue heretics had attempted to disrupt the succession ceremony.

The The Shadow Triad had unleashed their thunderous might, suppressing the entire assembly, and effortlessly annihilated all the heretic sect members.

That encounter had earned them widespread renown.

Within the Martial Alliance, the The Shadow Triad stood as a formidable bulwark.

No one had ever breached this defense, let alone threatened the alliance's foundation.

Now, in their bid to deal with Dustin, the Martial Alliance had not hesitated to send the The Shadow Triad to encircle and eliminate him simultaneously, a move many deemed excessive.

"The Shadow Triad?" Dustin glanced around, his expression growing colder. "Asher, is this your trump card?"

With his keen perception, Dustin could discern that the The Shadow Triad were not ordinary martial arts masters.

Their cultivation followed a dark and malevolent path.

Not only did they exude a cold aura and possess fierce gazes, but they also emitted a strong scent of blood.

The dark martial arts may promise rapid advancement, but they come with significant downsides. One such drawback is the constant requirement to consume fresh human blood throughout the year. This macabre necessity is crucial for keeping the malevolent forces within the practitioner's body in check and preventing them from going berserk.

The unique odor exuded by these three individuals confirmed this fact.

In other words, the so-called The Shadow Triad of the Martial Alliance were, in truth, three demonic figures who had taken countless lives!

The Martial Alliance was intended to set an example for the majority of martial artists, leading through virtuous conduct. Yet, for the sake of power and status, these individuals had chosen to flout moral principles, break rules, and secretly harness demons for their own purposes.

The Martial Alliance had truly become corrupt to its core.

"What? You scared?" Asher laughed cruelly. "If fear's got the best of you, just drop to your knees and let them do their thing. It might save you from a bit of pain!"

"Frightened?" Dustin scoffed. "Those three are just a bunch of lowlifes dabbling in dark arts. You honestly think they can be a threat to me?"

While dark arts might provide rapid growth, they resulted in an unstable realm and a shallow foundation. Identifying their weaknesses would make it easy to defeat all three.

"Young man! You won't cry until you're staring at your own coffin!" Asher responded menacingly. "Since you're so eager to court death, I'll be happy to oblige! The Shadow Triad, you have my orders—kill him on the spot without mercy!"

"Hold on a minute!" Serena suddenly rose from her seat and spoke with conviction. "Elder Asher, Grandmaster Dustin came here today to challenge the Martial Arts Alliance Leader. Intercepting him on the way with the Shadow Triad to gang up on him is a bit excessive, don't you think?"

"Exactly! We're here to witness the duel between Master Dustin and Alliance Leader Ronald, not to witness an unfair contest!" Many warriors chimed in, voicing their disapproval.

Chapter 1190: Deputy Alliance Leader Eldric

"Who are you to meddle in our affairs?" Asher's expression darkened.

"I am a disciple of the Zen Order, and I cannot stand by and watch such injustice unfold," Serena declared with unwavering determination. "The Martial Alliance should be a beacon of fairness and justice. Grandmaster Dustin issued a challenge, and your Martial Alliance accepted it. Yet now, even before Alliance Leader Ronald has arrived, you've chosen to corner and eliminate him in secret. Where is the integrity of the Martial Alliance? Where is its dignity?"

"Exactly! If you want a fight, do it with honor. There's no need for bullying just because you have more people."

"Grandmaster Dustin arrived here alone out of respect for the Martial Alliance. The least the Alliance can do is return that courtesy, have a fair showdown in the arena, and win the respect of everyone present."

"Are you all simply afraid that Grandmaster Dustin might pose a threat to Alliance Leader Ronald's position, leading you to resort to these underhanded tactics?"

At this moment, the assembled warriors voiced their criticisms and discontent.

Challenging the leader of the Martial Arts Alliance was a rare event, and regardless of whether Dustin succeeded or not, it showcased his courage. However, the actions of the Law enforcement were undeniably disappointing.

"Silence! All of you, quiet down!" Asher's anger flared. "This Dustin killed my son. As a father, I seek justice for my child. What's wrong with that?"

"Seeking justice is one thing, but you should not abuse the power of the Martial Alliance for personal vengeance!" Serena responded passionately.

"You... you... you insolent woman!" Asher was so furious that he trembled.

He had arranged a trap to capture Dustin, but now a young girl with golden hair had suddenly appeared and was obstructing him in various ways.

"Elder Asher, even if you seek vengeance, you should wait until after Grandmaster Dustin's challenge is concluded. We cannot agree to your actions at this moment."

"That's right! The challenge issued by the leader of the Martial Arts Alliance is sacred and inviolable. No matter how deep your grievances, you must set them aside for now."

With Serena leading the way, more and more warriors stood up to protest against this injustice.

In truth, they were not particularly concerned about whether Dustin lived or died; rather, they were dissatisfied with the Asher and law enforcement's high-handed and arbitrary conduct.

This behavior was truly outrageous.

If they didn't speak out today, the Law enforcement would continue to act with impunity.

What would happen if similar incidents occurred in the future?

"You... are you all trying to oppose the Martial Alliance?" Asher shouted through gritted teeth.

"Elder Asher, please exercise restraint and avoid alienating the public," a commanding voice suddenly interjected.

Subsequently, a middle-aged man in a long robe with a resolute countenance arrived on the scene as if carried by the wind.

He had his hands behind his back, walked with an elevated yet unhurried gait, exuding a calm and relaxed aura that was free-spirited.

Each step covered an astonishing distance.

While it appeared slow, he traversed the air and landed gracefully above everyone's heads in the blink of an eye before descending gently, akin to an immortal descending to the mortal realm.

The person who had arrived was none other than Eldric Thornfield, the deputy leader of the Martial Alliance.

"We greet Deputy Alliance Leader Eldric!" All the warriors present saluted with cupped fists.

Even Asher, who had been in an extremely irate state moments earlier, dared not utter another word.

In the entire Martial Arts Alliance, aside from Alliance Leader Ronald Reeds himself, Eldric was the most formidable presence.

Though Eldric usually kept a low profile and remained inconspicuous, no one dared to underestimate this deputy leader.

After all, in the contest for leadership of the Martial Arts Alliance, Eldric had been evenly matched with Ronald Reeds and had ultimately been defeated by a single move.

"Elder Asher, we are all guests here. Since Grandmaster Dustin issued a formal challenge, we should treat him with respect as hosts. What you are doing now is quite inappropriate," Eldric chided.

Implicitly, he had taken a clear stance on the matter.

Chapter 1191: Deputy's Decision

"Deputy Leader Eldric, everything I've done is to uphold the Martial Alliance's reputation," Asher expressed with a furrowed brow. "This man recklessly harms innocent people, behaves arrogantly, and disrespects the Martial Alliance. If we don't apprehend him now, it will lead to endless problems in the future."

"Elder Asher, I witnessed the recent events clearly," Eldric responded calmly. "Your actions have been forceful and domineering, and you even violated our rules by activating the three guardians without the leader's authorization. If you persist in your actions, you'll be held accountable for breaking the law, and the severity of your actions will only increase."

"You!" Asher seethed with anger, clenching his teeth and speaking in a hushed tone. "Deputy Leader Eldric, we're all part of the same alliance. Do you really need to oppose me for the sake of this young one?"

"Elder Asher, I always uphold the principles of justice and never bend the law for personal gain," Eldric replied with dignity. "Right and wrong are determined by the consensus of the public. I believe that everyone here desires a fair Leader Challenge. Anyone who resorts to dishonorable tactics to obstruct it will be seen as a common enemy of martial arts."

"That's absolutely correct! As warriors, we have the right to challenge our martial arts leader, and no one should interfere!" The assembled warriors voiced their agreement.

In the world of martial arts, strength was highly respected, and martial arts leaders ascended through their martial skills. Once someone reached the master level, they earned the privilege to challenge the martial arts leader—an unwritten tradition. Avoiding combat or employing deceitful methods would tarnish the martial arts leader's reputation.

"Deputy Leader, are you sure of this decision?" Asher wore a pained expression.

"What? Are you dissatisfied?" Eldric raised an eyebrow. "If you are not convinced, you may challenge me. You have the qualifications. If you defeat me, you will become the deputy leader."

"You..." Asher was momentarily speechless. He was only an innate warrior who had attained his position due to his younger brother's leadership. Challenging Eldric was akin to seeking death.

"Very well, Deputy Leader Eldric. I will remember today's events, and I hope you won't regret your actions!" Asher stated solemnly. "Furthermore, you can protect this kid for now, but you cannot protect him forever. When he steps onto the stage, he will suffer a miserable fate!"

"Onstage, I do not fear life or death, but offstage, no one should violate the rules," Eldric replied, unwavering in his stance.

Taking a deep breath, Asher finally yielded to the prevailing sentiment. "Retreat, Shadow Triad!"

At his command, the three figures in black robes vanished into thin air, as if they had never appeared.

"Grandmaster Dustin, Elder Asher momentarily lost his composure, and on behalf of the Martial Alliance, I apologize to you," Eldric turned to Dustin and respectfully greeted him with clasped fists.

His assistance to Dustin served dual purposes: it allowed him to establish his prestige while also presenting an opportunity for him to break free from Ronald Reeds's suppression. Dustin's appearance was an opportunity he could exploit.

"Deputy Leader Eldric, your words are unnecessary," Dustin replied calmly. "Those youngsters were of no concern to me."

"Of course," Eldric said with a smile. "Master Dustin, it's about time. Please proceed to the stage."

"Very well," Dustin nodded, then stepped onto the central stage of the martial arts arena, making his way toward it amidst the gaze of the onlookers.

As he passed through the crowd, they willingly parted to create a path for him.

At this moment, regardless of the reasons or the ultimate outcome, Dustin's courage and determination earned the admiration of nearly every warrior present.

After all, he had done what no one else dared to do.
