Chapter 1291 The Two Options

"Mr. Mazer, it's been a few days. What's got you so worked up? Do you need me to brew you some herbal tea to calm down?"

Upon hearing the commotion, Elijah, accompanied by Dustin and Roselyn, descended the stairs at a leisurely pace.

Surveying the disarray in the clinic, Elijah furrowed his brow momentarily but quickly regained his composure.

"Well, well, Dr. Elijah, you finally decided to show up. I was starting to think you'd turned into a hermit!" Lenny quipped, his legs crossed and a smirk playing on his lips.

"Mr. Mazer, I can't recall ever offending you. Your repeated disruptions here are hardly appropriate," Elijah replied calmly.

"Dr. Elijah, if I've come here, it's for medical treatment, naturally. Are you implying you don't welcome a patient like me?" Lenny taunted.

"Mr. Mazer, if you've come for medical treatment, I'll certainly welcome you. However, I'm afraid your intentions might not be solely related to your health," Elijah said with a knowing look.

"Don't waste time on meaningless chit-chat. Let's talk about my treatment," Lenny suddenly pulled up his shirt, revealing a festering wound on his abdomen. He pointed to the pus-filled area and continued, "Dr. Elijah, you promised that applying your medicine would heal me quickly. But look at it now—my wound hasn't improved; it's gotten worse. How do you explain this?"

"Mr. Mazer, I prescribed the Golden Wound Medicine specifically for external injuries. It should not worsen your condition. Perhaps there's been a misunderstanding on your part?" Elijah replied calmly, aware that Mr. Mazer was intentionally causing trouble.

However, he couldn't help but acknowledge that Mr. Mazer had gone to great lengths to inflict this infection upon himself.

"Misunderstanding? You were the one who dressed my wound, and I bought the medicine from your clinic. Now that there's a problem, you want to deny responsibility? It's not that easy!" Lenny retorted sharply.

"Mr. Mazer, what exactly do you want? Please stop beating around the bush and state your demands clearly," Elijah said, his expression growing colder.

"Very well!" Lenny Mazer hopped down from the counter and raised two fingers, saying, "To resolve this matter, you have two options: either cure my injury, or compensate me for the damages caused by your clinic. It's that simple."

"Absurd!" Unable to contain herself any longer, Roselyn exclaimed, "Your injury is clearly self-inflicted, and now you want to blame our clinic for it? That's despicable!"

"Oh, it's Roselyn," Lenny rubbed his chin, leering at her shamelessly. "It's been a while, and you've grown even more enchanting, especially those beautiful legs. I wonder, Roselyn, do you have a boyfriend? How about letting me take you out for some fun?"

"Lenny! That's crossing the line!" Elijah stood protectively in front of Roselyn, shielding her from his lecherous gaze.

His granddaughter was his bottom line; no one could harm her.

"Crossing the line?" Lenny chuckled and pointed to his injured abdomen, saying, "Dr. Elijah, your clinic's greed has put me in this state. Isn't that crossing the line enough?"

"Lenny! I know what you're up to, but I've dedicated half my life to this clinic. I'll never sell it to the likes of you. You might as well give up!" Elijah asserted firmly.

Upon hearing this, Lenny's smile disappeared, and his gaze turned hostile. "Elijah, you're really pushing your luck! Given your reputation as a healer, I've been patient, but if you don't wise up soon, don't blame me for resorting to more drastic measures."

"What kind of measures are you implying? We won't be bullied into submission!" Elijah's tone was resolute.

"Submission? Hahaha... You might not have the ability for that," Lenny sneered. "Furthermore, I have limited patience. It's in your best interest not to provoke me further, because one day, your granddaughter might just vanish."

"You—!" Elijah's anger flared.

Scoundrels like him were capable of anything.

Their vile methods were endless, and there was no foolproof defense.

He had lived long enough and was unafraid of death, but what about his granddaughter? What about the disciples of the clinic?

Chapter 1292 Creating Chaos at Healwell

"Lenny! If you dare to cause trouble, be prepared for me to report you to the authorities!" Roselyn exclaimed, her tone sharp with hidden fear.

"Report to the authorities? Hahaha..." Upon hearing this, Lenny burst into laughter.

His group of henchmen behind him also laughed, wearing mocking expressions.

How could they dominate the streets of South City without some influential backing?

"Roselyn, Roselyn, you're truly adorable. I'm starting to like you more and more," Lenny said as he approached, biting into an apple. "Why don't you tell me how you plan to report me to the authorities? I'm the victim here, harmed by the incompetence of your Healwell, worsening my injury. Do you think the constables will come to arrest me, the victim, or your Clinic?"

"You..." Roselyn was rendered speechless.

Though she knew that Lenny was deliberately causing a scene, they were in the wrong and lacked substantial evidence, leaving them no choice but to bear it silently.

"Lenny, you have quite the nerve, bullying my little sister like this," a handsome man suddenly walked in.

The man was dressed in a suit, had a slick back hairstyle, and exuded an air of nobility, making him appear extraordinary.

"Big Brother?" Roselyn's eyes brightened upon seeing him, and she quickly approached, her eyes filled with joy.

"Carlos, you finally came," Elijah heaved a sigh of relief.

The newcomer was none other than his eldest disciple, Carlos Grantwood!

The Grantwood family in South City was one of the top-ranking prestigious families, wielding immense influence.

Ordinary thugs wouldn't dare to act recklessly here.

"Master, little sister, are you both okay?" Carlos glanced around.

"Big Brother, we're fine. It's just that Lenny is truly despicable, repeatedly causing trouble at our Clinic and even threatening to destroy it," Roselyn began to complain.

"Oh? He wants to destroy Healwell?" Carlos raised an eyebrow, and his sharp gaze turned towards Lenny. "Mr. Mazer, you've got some audacity! While I was away, you dared to create chaos at Healwell? Who gave you the courage?"

"Oh, so it's the young Grantwood. Nice to meet you." Lenny gave a half-hearted bow, feigning politeness.

"Don't waste time with me! I'm asking you, why are you causing trouble here?" Carlos demanded.

"Carlos, you're accusing me unjustly. I'm not causing trouble; Healwell is harming people. Look at me now, they've turned me into this!" Lenny retorted while lifting his shirt to reveal a festering wound on his abdomen. The wound was oozing pus, appearing as if it was on the verge of becoming gangrenous.

"Don't try to deceive me with this act!" Carlos scowled. "I command you all to leave right now, or don't blame me for being ruthless!"

"Carlos, you're going too far! Do you know who stands behind me?" Lenny's smile gradually faded.

"I don't care who you are. If you've provoked our Grantwood family, you'll face the consequences!" Carlos’ demeanor was fierce.

"Oh? Is that so?" Lenny sneered. "What if it's one of the Eight Aristocratic Families of Stonia, the Stratford family?"

"The Stratford family?" As soon as this was mentioned, Carlos’ face instantly changed.

Chapter 1293 The Stratford Family

In Stonia, there were eight prominent noble families, and the Stratford family was one of them.

As a century-old clan, the Stratford family's influence in Stonia was deeply rooted, and they possessed a substantial background.

Especially in the South City territory, they were considered unparalleled, reigning as the unchallenged rulers.

They were rightfully known as the overlords of South City!

Looking across the entire South City, only the Windsor family, another noble family, could rival the Stratford family.

As for the Grantwood family, though they were a prestigious clan, they were in an entirely different league compared to the likes of the Stratford family, a grand and powerful family.

So, upon hearing the name "Stratford family," Carlos’ expression changed.

The arrogance he had displayed a moment ago completely vanished, replaced by apprehension and seriousness.

"Carlos, I know you come from a noble background, but there are certain matters you'd better not meddle in. Otherwise, once the Stratford family becomes angered, the consequences will be severe. You should think carefully," Lenny said with a sneer.

He had thoroughly investigated Healwell's background and knew that without a strong backing, he wouldn't dare to act so recklessly.

"Lenny! Don't try to impress me. With your status, how could you possibly have any connection with the Stratford family?" Carlos retorted sharply.

"The Stratford family operates openly and cherishes their reputation. There are some matters they can't directly handle, so they leave it to us, the lower echelons," Lenny said with a smirk. "Carlos, I have another piece of advice for you: don't get involved in matters that don't concern you, or you might end up in hot water."

"How dare you! What kind of person are you to speak to me like this?!" Carlos couldn't tolerate Lenny's attitude.

"I may not be, but the Stratford family is. If you insist on meddling, you'll bear the consequences," Lenny said with a bizarre tone.

"Hmph! You think I'll be afraid just because you mentioned the Stratford family? Let me tell you, Stonia is a place that upholds the law, and even the Stratford family can't control everything!" Carlos exclaimed, his tone both fierce and fearful.

Everyone from Healwell watched in silence. As a prestigious clan, they couldn't allow themselves to be intimidated by a group of hooligans.

"Is that so? While the Stratford family may not be able to control everything, can your Grantwood family?"

At this moment, a shrill voice suddenly echoed at the entrance.

Following the voice, a man in his middle years, dressed in fine clothing, with a disfigured face, a boozy nose, and a prominent mole the size of a soybean on his nose, entered with an air of arrogance.

The mole even had a few hairs growing on it, making it look rather comical.

"Oh! Isn't this the steward from the Stratford family? How did you end up here?" Upon seeing the newcomer, Lenny hurriedly scampered over, wearing a fawning and obsequious expression.

The man with the unattractive appearance was none other than the steward of the Stratford family, Sebastian Stratford.

"Hmph! You've been dragging your feet with the job. It's taken so long. If I hadn't come, would you have been able to handle the situation?" Sebastian glanced disdainfully and seemed quite displeased.

"Yes, yes, yes, you're absolutely right, Sebastian. You're wise and capable, and I, a mere commoner, can't compare to you in any way," Lenny smoothly laid on the flattery.

Sebastian couldn't help but beam with pleasure, and his whole demeanor appeared rather self-satisfied.

"Enough with the pleasantries! Let's deal with the business at hand," Sebastian waved his hand and shifted his gaze toward Carlos, his expression calm and collected. "Carlos, I heard your words just now, and it seems you're dissatisfied with my Stratford family. Is that so?"

With these words, the attention of everyone present turned to Carlos.

Lenny and his gang looked smug, as if they were enjoying a show.

Meanwhile, the people from Healwell wore tense expressions, feeling uneasy.

Even though Carlos had power and influence, facing a behemoth like the Stratford family, they couldn't hope for any advantages.

Chapter 1294 Carlo’s Chance To Prove Himself

"Sebastian, I have no intention of offending the Stratford family, but these ruffians are causing trouble at Healwell, and I have to intervene," Carlos said firmly.

Although Sebastian was just the steward of the Stratford family, he represented the young master of the Stratford family, Scott Stratford. Carlos wouldn't want to provoke Scott unless absolutely necessary.

"Causing trouble? Why do I feel like it's Healwell that's being unreasonable?" Sebastian raised his chin and stroked the few hairs growing on his prominent mole. He said calmly, "I heard from Lenny that it was Healwell's incompetent physician who harmed him. Not only did they fail to cure his illness, but they also worsened his condition. He came here seeking justice, and I believe that's only fair."

"That's right..."

Hearing this, Lenny nodded repeatedly and began to complain, "Sebastian, Healwell is being completely unreasonable. They've harmed me and nearly cost me my life. They not only refuse to admit it but also accuse me of causing trouble. You can see through this injustice, so please help me!"

"Nonsense! It's clear that you're just being unreasonable!" Roselyn was furious.

She had never seen someone so shameless, telling blatant lies with their eyes wide open. It was obvious that he was intentionally trying to deceive.

"Being unreasonable? My stomach injury is the evidence!"

Lenny once again lifted his shirt, revealing the festering wound on his stomach.

"Just a minor injury, Lenny. How much money do you want to settle this?" Carlos demanded.

As long as he could resolve this issue, spending a little more money was not a problem.

"Compensation? I don't want money," Lenny shook his head and pointed to Healwell's sign. "My request is simple: give Healwell to me, and this matter will be considered settled."

"Absurd! With just a minor injury like yours, you want to take over the entire Healwell? That's nothing but a dream!" Carlos scoffed.

"Carlos, Lenny is our man from the Stratford family. When you say his life is worthless, you're implying that the lives of the Stratford family are worthless too. Can you bear that responsibility?" Sebastian suddenly interjected.

"You...!" Carlos was momentarily enraged.

Dealing with Lenny, a troublemaker and rascal, was not a problem for him. However, with Sebastian's words, the situation became somewhat tricky.

"Carlos, don't blame us for being unreasonable. If you don't want to compensate, then heal Lenny's injury right now. We can overlook everything that has happened," Sebastian said, crossing his arms.

"That's right! If you don't want to compensate, treat the injury on the spot and show us you have the capability!" Lenny lifted his stomach, adopting a domineering tone.

"Hmph! Even if we prescribe medicine now, you'll just change it after you leave. How can we possibly cure you?" Roselyn was indignant.

They had already experienced this trick once before. Even if Healwell's Golden Wound Medicine was highly effective, it couldn't withstand the malicious intent of the other party.

"Hey! Roselyn, you can't just say anything you want. I always act with integrity, and I'm a person of great moral character. How could I do something as harmful to others and unbeneficial to myself?" Lenny sneered.

"Carlos, I've given you a chance. Whether you can heal Lenny's injury or not depends on the ability of Healwell," Sebastian said with a smirk, as if he had everything under control.

Carlos clenched his teeth, his face looking extremely unpleasant.

Staring at the Healwell group, Sebastian said, "Carlos, this is your chance to prove yourself. Do you dare to take the risk and try to heal Lenny's injury on the spot?"

Carlos’ expression turned grim. He knew the consequences of failure could be dire.

Chapter 1295 The Confidence

"Hmm?"

A sudden voice instantly drew everyone's attention.

Countless pairs of eyes were fixed on Dustin.

"Young man! Where did you come from? Do you have the right to speak here?" Lenny's gaze turned unfriendly.

"I'm a new doctor at Healwell," Dustin said calmly. "You just said that as long as you're healed, you won't seek compensation. So, I want to give it a try."

"Give it a try? Lenny sneered, looking at Dustin as if he were an idiot.

After all the commotion, it turned out to be a greenhorn who didn't even understand the situation.

"Hey! It's none of your business! My grandfather hasn't spoken yet. Who are you to meddle with this issue?" Roselyn's face turned cold.

She was full of pent-up anger and had finally found an outlet.

"You don't want to compensate, right? Then the only option is to try to heal the injury. We have no other choice." Dustin said calmly.

"Hmph! Who do you think you are? Just because you say you can heal, it means you can?" Roselyn's tone was unfriendly.

A barefoot doctor from the countryside, where did he get the guts to show off at Healwell?

"Young man, you don't know anything as a newcomer. This matter is not as simple as you think. Don't meddle," Carlos said.

Given Dustin's age, he could only be an apprentice at Healwell.

In this situation, he didn't even have the right to speak.

"What? Do you have a better solution?" Dustin asked in response.

"I..." Roselyn opened her mouth but couldn't say a word.

Beside her, Carlos furrowed his brow, looking at Dustin with some hostility.

A mere apprentice dared to argue against him? He had quite the audacity!

"Young man, I admire your courage, but unfortunately, you can't make decisions here. Whether you agree or not, it's up to Dr. Elijah to decide," Lenny said, his tone cold as he looked at Elijah.

"Elijah, don't dawdle. Make a decision. Will you treat the injury or compensate?" Sebastian urged.

"Well..." Elijah frowned, his face looking somewhat troubled.

The situation was difficult to handle.

With Sebastian pushing from behind, even Carlos couldn't help much.

The only choice was to heal Lenny's injury.

It seemed easy but was actually extremely difficult.

This was the trap the other party had set.

"Elijah, it's just a minor external injury. You don't need to take action. I can handle it," Dustin said again.

"Do you really have the confidence?" Carlos retorted. "Even I can't heal this kind of injury. Who are you as a mere apprentice to make such bold claims?"

"Hmph! I think you have ulterior motives and want Healwell to suffer!" Roselyn was furious.

"This kid really doesn't know his place. He's just an apprentice, and yet he dares to speak out and give orders. He's really audacious!" The apprentices from Healwell muttered and discussed among themselves.

Even a fool could see that Lenny and his group were intentionally causing trouble.

Now that they had agreed to the other party's conditions, wouldn't that be walking into a trap?

"Dustin, do you... really have a chance?" Elijah asked tentatively.

If it were an ordinary person, he wouldn't believe it. However, Dustin's previous performance had been astonishing, and he felt an inexplicable sense of trust.

"I can't say I'm a hundred percent confident, but it's about eighty to ninety percent," Dustin nodded.

Since Lorenzo would be staying here for a while, Healwell couldn't afford any problems.

"Good! Since Dr. Rhys is so confident, I'll bet the entire Healwell on you. I trust you this time!" Elijah made a decision after hesitating.

When this statement came out, the whole scene was in an uproar.

"Grandfather! Have you gone mad? Do you really trust him? He's just a swindler from the Balermo with no real abilities!" Roselyn was getting anxious.

"Master! Your decision will ruin Healwell!" Carlos was also very agitated.

Chapter 1296 The Black Sticky Substance

"It's over, it's over! Dr. Elijah is being deceived by this scoundrel!"

At this moment, Healwell was in an uproar.

No one expected that Elijah would be so confused, entrusting the fate of Healwell to an unknown person.

"Hahaha... Good!"

After a momentary shock, Lenny couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Dr. Elijah indeed has great courage, so let's seal the deal!"

He had gone to great lengths just for this moment.

Now, the prey had finally taken the bait.

"Interesting... Truly interesting."

Sebastian grinned and his eyes carried a hint of amusement.

He originally thought it would take more effort to deal with Healwell, but it turned out to be so easy.

"Don't get too anxious. I believe in Mr. Rhys’ medical skills. He shouldn't disappoint us," Elijah said seriously.

Dustin was proficient in mysterious arts, and he might actually be able to resolve the crisis.

"You believe in him, but we don't!" Roselyn was becoming increasingly anxious.

"Master, there's no need to take this risk. With me here, they won't dare to cause trouble at Healwell!" Carlos advised.

"My mind is made up, you don't need to say more," Elijah replied without listening.

"Grandfather!"

Frustrated, Roselyn stomped her foot but could only turn her gaze to Dustin, threatening, "Hey! I warn you not to mess around. If you harm Healwell, I won't let you off!"

"Young lady, rest assured. If I can't heal the injury, I'm willing to take full responsibility," Dustin said calmly.

"Take responsibility? Can you afford it? Healwell is priceless. Even if you sold everything you had, you couldn't buy a single brick or tile!" Roselyn was frustrated.

"That's enough!"

Elijah raised his hand to stop her. "This decision is mine. Even if something goes wrong, it's my responsibility, not Mr. Rhys’!"

"Grandfather..."

Roselyn wanted to say something more but was stopped by Elijah.

Since he had made a decision, he couldn't hesitate or be indecisive.

"Alright, stop the nonsense and heal the injury quickly."

Lenny sat down in a chair, lifted his clothes, and revealed the festering wound, then sneered, "I'm warning you, if you can't heal my injury, just hand Healwell over!"

"No problem."

Dustin nodded and didn't say much.

He turned around and began to search for herbs in the medicine cabinet.

Healwell had a complete variety of medicinal herbs, making it convenient for him to prepare the medicine.

"What is this guy trying to do? Is he planning to make medicine on the spot?"

"Hmph! He's just being mysterious!"

Seeing Dustin's actions, many people sneered.

Clearly, they didn't believe in this stranger with an unknown background.

Dustin didn't pay any attention to the curious gazes around him. He continued to make medicine in the pharmacy.

Half an hour later, a black, sticky substance was successfully concocted.

The appearance was ordinary, even ugly, resembling a fresh pile of dung.

"Hey! Kid, what is this? You're not causing harm, are you?"

Seeing the black ointment, Lenny couldn't help but feel uneasy. His wound was already very severe, and if it got infected again, it might be life-threatening.

"Don't worry, your injury will be completely healed in half an hour," Dustin said without hesitation. He directly applied the ointment to Lenny's wound and then did a simple bandage.

"Healed in half an hour? Do you think you're a god?" Roselyn said coldly.

"Hmph! Even my master can't do it. Who do you think you are?" Carlos sneered.

"This level of injury would take three to five days to heal, even with Healwell's best Golden Wound Medicine. Saying it can be healed in the time it takes for an incense stick to burn is simply nonsense!" Several physicians shook their heads, not believing at all.

"Hehe... With this piece of junk, if you can heal my injury, I'll eat it while standing on my head!" Lenny sneered repeatedly.

Facing doubts and ridicule, Dustin ignored them completely. After applying the ointment, he sat down leisurely and drank tea.

The time comes quickly.

Lenny, who had been watching the time closely, suddenly stood up and grinned, "Kid! The time is up. I want to see if you're just bluffing!"

With those words, he directly tore off the bandage around his waist.

Chapter 1297 Miraculous Medicine

"Ka-chak!"

In front of everyone's gaze, Lenny violently tore off the bandage.

As the bandage came off, a black, dung-like ointment was revealed underneath.

The ointment covered the wound and looked somewhat disgusting.

"Hey, someone! Get me a basin of water to clean the wound!"

Lenny casually pointed at a physician, and his finger happened to point at Elmer, who was cowering in the corner.

"Me... me?"

Elmer pointed to himself, looking somewhat bewildered.

He had been silently observing, trying to avoid trouble, but he ended up being singled out.

"Nonsense! Do you want me to do it myself?" Lenny glared.

"Oh, oh..."

Elmer nodded repeatedly, not daring to say more. He immediately fetched a basin of water and even brought a towel.

"What are you dawdling for? Clean the wound for me. Be gentle, if you hurt me, I'll break your legs!" Lenny threatened viciously.

After so many years in the underworld, it was easy to tell who was an easy target.

"Gulp."

Elmer swallowed hard, dampened the towel, and started to carefully wipe the wound.

"Dr. Elijah, hurry up and prepare the transfer agreement. This way, we can save some time," Lenny said sarcastically.

"Grandfather! You really shouldn't have trusted this scammer. Your lifelong efforts will be ruined in his hands!" Roselyn was full of resentment.

With this decision, she couldn't help but suspect whether her grandfather had become muddled.

"Kid! If you harm Healwell, I will never let you off!" Carlos threatened in a low voice.

Healwell was the prey he had set his sights on. Once Elijah retired in peace, this treasure trove with a reputation outside would become his property.

Now that someone had beaten him to it, he was naturally very unhappy.

"Mr. Rhys, it's all up to you now."

Elijah muttered to himself, looking quite nervous.

Although Dustin was proficient in mysterious arts, he couldn't guarantee absolute success.

"Ah... I never thought that the reputation of Healwell for nearly a century would be destroyed by this kid." Everyone looked gloomy and sighed.

To heal a rotting wound within that short time was completely wishful thinking.

Unless a deity descended to the mortal realm, it was simply impossible.

"Oh my God!"

At this moment, Elmer suddenly screamed.

His expression was as if he had seen a ghost.

The sudden commotion startled everyone.

"Why are you yelling?"

Lenny was so shocked that he shivered, and he kicked Elmer to the ground with one foot.

"The... the wound... the wound disappeared!"

Elmer pointed at Lenny's belly, his whole body in shock.

"Disappeared?"

Lenny lowered his head and was immediately stunned.

Because he shockingly discovered that the festering wound on his belly, which had been clearly visible before, had completely healed at this moment!

Even the scar was gone, leaving only a faint red mark.

It was fresh new flesh.

"What? The wound actually healed?!"

Seeing this, everyone was in an uproar.

They had all clearly seen Lenny's wound, which was festering and oozing pus, and it looked terrifying.

Normally, it would take at least ten days to half a month to heal.

Even Healwell's best Golden Wound Medicine would take three to five days to fully heal.

However, no one expected that the ointment concocted by Dustin would completely heal the wound within the short time it took for an incense stick to burn.

It was simply unbelievable!

This was no ordinary ointment; it was a miraculous healing elixir!

"How... how is this possible? It actually healed for real?"

Roselyn stared wide-eyed, her face full of disbelief.

"What is this kid's background? How could he have such a miraculous medicine?"

Chapter 1298 Jade Dew Ointment

Carlos was also astonished and couldn't believe his eyes.

They had initially thought that Dustin was just trying to show off and had no real skills.

However, they never expected that Dustin would use a mere ointment to completely turn the tide and resolve Healwell's crisis.

It was truly astonishing.

"Very good... You did a great job!"

After a brief moment of astonishment, Elijah couldn't help but applaud and laugh heartily, his joy evident.

He had just prepared himself for failure, but unexpectedly, Dustin had actually created a miracle.

It was truly eye-opening!

"Damn! How can this be happening? What happened to my wound?" Lenny kept touching his belly, looking somewhat panicked.

After going to such lengths to put on a show of a serious injury, if it failed this time, he would definitely face consequences when he returned.

"I never thought that there was such a miraculous medicine in the world. If we can get our hands on it, we'll make a huge profit." Sebastian squinted his eyes, wearing a contemplative expression.

As the steward of the Stratford family, he naturally had a certain level of intelligence.

Although he was a bit annoyed that his plan had been disrupted, he quickly realized a new business opportunity.

To heal a rotting wound within half an hour was unheard of.

This miraculous elixir had the potential to dominate the entire medical market in the Southern City once it became widely available!

The Stratford family could also use this opportunity to create new brilliance!

"The wound has already healed. Now, you can all leave."

Dustin waved his hand, looking like he was chasing away flies.

"You little brat! How dare you ruin my plans? I'm going to kill you!" Seeing that his plan had failed, Lenny became furious and threatened to make a move.

"Impudent!"

At this moment, Sebastian suddenly moved forward and slapped Lenny in the face.

"Clap!"

The crisp sound of a slap directly stunned Lenny.

The people around them also looked at each other in confusion.

What's going on?

Weren't the two of them on the same side? Why were they fighting each other?

"Sebastian? Why... why did you hit me?" Lenny covered his burning face and looked somewhat wronged.

"Hmph! You dare to disrespect Dr. Rhys, so I'm hitting you!" Sebastian glared at him fiercely.

"Dr. Rhys?"

Lenny's face twisted in confusion as he looked around, not knowing what to do.

Wasn't he just shouting and threatening earlier?

How did he suddenly change his tune?

He even called him "Dr. Rhys."

It was ridiculous.

"What are you standing there for? Hurry up and apologize to Dr. Rhys, or I'll break your legs!" Sebastian scolded him and raised his hand to give Lenny another slap.

Lenny was hit so hard that he was on the verge of tears. He couldn't resist and could only walk up to Dustin, bowing and apologizing, "Mr... Dr. Rhys, I'm sorry."

"Dr. Rhys, I'm really sorry. I didn't discipline him properly. I hope you can forgive him."

Sebastian walked up with a smile, bowing and apologizing, appearing very polite.

This strange behavior left the people of Healwell feeling bewildered.

As the steward of the Stratford family, Sebastian had always been arrogant and looked down on everyone.

Why had he suddenly become so polite?

"Sebastian, what do you mean by this?" Dustin sized him up.

Bearing gifts out of nowhere was either a sign of ulterior motives or a swindle.

"Dr. Rhys, may I ask what the name of the ointment you just used is?" Sebastian asked with a smile.

"Jade Dew Ointment," Dustin replied calmly.

"What a great name!"

Sebastian gave him a thumbs-up and continued with a smile, "Dr. Rhys, we are very interested in your Jade Dew Ointment. I am willing to offer five million to buy the formula for your Jade Dew Ointment!"

Chapter 1299 Going All Out

"Five million? It's no wonder the Stratford family, a prestigious clan, is so generous," murmured many people, both from Lenny's side and Healwell's group. To them, five million was a rare windfall.

"Sebastian, this is a family recipe passed down through generations, and it's not for sale. I'm afraid you'll be disappointed," Dustin said calmly.

He could tell what the other party was trying to do when they suddenly acted so generously.

A mere five million to buy a rare ancient formula was absurd.

"It seems that Dr. Rhys thinks it's too little?" Sebastian continued to smile. "Alright, since we have this connection, I'll double it for you. I'll offer you ten million!"

"Ten million? This is Sebastian going all out!" The crowd became even more excited.

You see, this sum was something they wouldn't earn in their lifetimes. Even Lenny, who had taken on this job and risked his life, would only receive a meager reward of around a hundred thousand.

Now, Dustin had created a prescription that could sell for ten million. It was truly enviable.

"Dr. Rhys, ten million is not a small amount. It's enough to live comfortably for a lifetime. Looking at the entire Southern City, only our Stratford family can offer such a high price!" Sebastian seized the opportunity.

To ordinary commoners, ten million was the limit they could earn in their lifetime. The average salary in Stonia was only around a hundred thousand a year, so in ten years, it would be just one million. As for ten million, regular people would have to work hard for a hundred years to earn it.

The temptation was overwhelming!

"Sebastian, I've already made it clear. This is a family recipe, and it's not for sale," Dustin calmly declined.

"Hmm?"

Hearing this, Sebastian couldn't help but frown, but he quickly regained his smile. "Dr. Rhys, our Stratford family is in desperate need of talent, and we sincerely want this formula. I hope you can bear the pain and part with it. How about this, to show our sincerity, we'll offer you two million right away!"

"As long as you agree, two million will be transferred to your account immediately!"

"Dr. Rhys, opportunities don't come twice. This is our bottom line."

In the end, he added, "Two million is a huge sum. It's enough for you to make a decision that goes against your ancestors. What do you say?"

A prescription of this caliber was worth at least a billion to start with. If they could obtain it for two million, it would be a great achievement for the Stratford family when they returned.

"Sebastian, it seems you haven't understood me. Let me repeat," Dustin's tone gradually became more intense. "The formula for Jade Dew Ointment is a closely guarded secret, and it's not for sale. Please leave."

"Hmm?"

At these words, Sebastian's smile instantly vanished, replaced by a dark expression. "Dr. Rhys, there's never been anything that our Stratford family couldn't obtain."

"If you refuse our Stratford family, do you know what the consequences will be?"

"Two million is a huge sum, and let alone buying a prescription, it can buy your life without any problems!" By the end of his speech, Sebastian's gaze had become particularly menacing.

His tone was filled with threats.

He had been polite enough, even willing to entice him with a large sum of money. He didn't expect this kid to be so ungrateful.

If soft tactics didn't work, then they would have to resort to hard ones.

Chapter 1300 The Unruly Behavior

"Sebastian, I hate being threatened. I advise you not to provoke me, or your Stratford family will be in trouble," Dustin said calmly.

"Kid, you're really arrogant!" Sebastian snorted. "Fine! Since you don't know your place, let's see how it plays out!"

With that, he turned and left.

The Stratford family cherished their reputation and wouldn't openly resort to force. However, they could employ other methods to obtain the prescription later.

"Kid! You've made an enemy of Sebastian, and you're in big trouble!" Lenny chuckled, then shouted to his gang and left.

Although they had failed today, it wasn't entirely fruitless. The prescription Dustin held had clearly become the new darling of the Stratford family, and once they got their hands on it, they would be rewarded handsomely.

"Mr. Rhys, thanks to your help today, otherwise Healwell would have been in trouble," Elijah said gratefully.

"Mr. Rhys, you're too modest; it was just a small effort," Dustin replied with a faint smile.

"Dr. Rhys, you're young and talented. I admire you," Elijah said, clasping his hands.

"Hmph! What's so great about it? It's just luck," Roselyn said, her arms crossed, a disdainful look on her face. "If it weren't for this ancestral prescription, we would have been in danger because of him."

"Roselyn! Don't be disrespectful!" Elijah frowned and scolded. "Dr. Rhys helped us twice. What's with your attitude? You really have no manners!"

"Hmph! Did I say anything wrong? It's clear that he was showing off, and he almost got us into trouble!" Roselyn raised her head and looked defiant.

"Little sister, you're also in the wrong here. Mr. Rhys helped our Healwell after all. Speaking so rudely is improper," Carlos said with a stern expression.

Roselyn pursed her lips and looked somewhat aggrieved but remained silent.

"Mr. Rhys, my apologies for my little girl's behavior. She's been pampered since childhood, which has made her a bit unruly," Elijah said, both angry and helpless.

He only had one granddaughter, and she had been spoiled since childhood, which had made her a bit lawless.

"Mr. Rhys, I appreciate your help today. However, I have to ask, what are your plans regarding Jade Dew Ointment?" Carlos asked directly.

"Why, do you want to buy the prescription too?" Dustin asked in return.

Carlos’ attitude had clearly aligned with Sebastian's goals.

"If Mr. Rhys can sell it, that would be best. If not, we can cooperate in the long run," Carlos said with a smile. "I saw the miraculous effects of Jade Dew Ointment just now. I can confidently say that once this ointment is promoted, it will definitely become a bestseller!"

When it came to Jade Dew Ointment, its efficacy could only be described as miraculous. If it could be mass-produced, it would be a guaranteed success.

"Carlos, even if I wanted to sell it, I couldn't. Jade Dew Ointment, despite its effectiveness, has significant side effects," Dustin calmly explained. "Just now, in order to quickly treat the injury, I used a powerful formula. Although Lenny seemed fine, he will experience symptoms like abdominal pain and diarrhea when he returns. In severe cases, he could even go into shock. Therefore, this medicine cannot be sold. Once it spreads, it will undoubtedly harm both people and myself."

LOL, I appreciate Jungal2000 . For me , it's good, but I'll not try to be creative and change new names as it may create confusion later when Jungal2000 adopt another name, so it's best to leave it in chinese until Jungal decides on a name

Thank you grandmaster Jungal2000 . Please keep it up and don't get tired

Chapter 1281 Meet Dr Elijah

"Dr Grantwood? Dr Grantwood is here?"

As soon as the crowd spotted Dr. Elijah, they immediately swarmed around him, leaving Dustin free from the commotion.

Although Dustin's recent performance was impressive, he still couldn't compare to the renown of Dr. Elijah, who had built a deep and lasting reputation over the years.

His status was unshakeable.

"Dr Grantwood, you've finally arrived! Healwell was on the brink of disaster just moments ago!"

"Yes, that's right! There was almost a tragedy, but luckily, a young doctor stepped in and saved Healwell's reputation!"

"Dr Grantwood, is that young doctor perhaps your new disciple?"

The older folks chatted and gossiped, living up to their reputation as gossip enthusiasts.

Their excited chatter and noise left Dr. Elijah momentarily bewildered when he entered the scene.

He stood still, not understanding what was going on.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please calm down... let's take it easy..."

Dr. Elijah raised his hand, trying to quiet down the crowd. When they gradually settled, he inquired, "So, what happened exactly? Let's discuss it calmly."

"I'll explain, I'll explain! I used to be a storyteller under the Bridge!"

One elderly gentleman eagerly volunteered and proceeded to embellish the recent events, emphasizing how Dustin had saved a life, brought someone back from the brink of death, and heroically preserved Healwell's reputation.

He spoke eloquently, painting a vivid picture of the heroic act.

His storytelling prowess won applause and admiration from the surrounding older ladies, and they looked at him with a touch of worship.

His skillful storytelling even earned him priority in choosing a partner.

"I see."

After listening, Dr. Elijah nodded in understanding and walked over to Dustin with a smile. "Young man, thank you for your timely intervention. I never expected someone as young as you to possess such remarkable medical skills. Truly, heroes emerge from the young generation."

"You're too kind, Dr Grantwood. It was just some minor tricks; nothing worth mentioning," Dustin humbly replied.

"Good, humble and composed. Indeed impressive."

Dr. Elijah nodded approvingly. Young people studying traditional Chinese medicine were becoming increasingly rare, and those with genuine talent were even rarer. He had been searching for a suitable successor for a long time, but none had met his expectations. Now, with Dustin's appearance, he saw a glimmer of hope.

Although he hadn't witnessed it firsthand, he was confident that the young man before him was extraordinary.

"Dr Grantwood, I came to visit because I have something to consult you about. May we have a private conversation?" Dustin politely asked, cupping his hands.

"Of course, please follow me upstairs."

Dr. Elijah didn't refuse and led Dustin to the second floor.

Healwell had three levels:

The first floor was where the clinic consultations took place.

The second floor was Dr. Elijah's residence, occasionally used to welcome important guests.

The third floor remained permanently closed to the public.

Dustin followed Dr. Elijah upstairs, and as soon as they entered the living room, they saw a beautiful young lady lounging on the couch, engrossed in her smartphone.

She wore a t-shirt and shorts, sprawled lazily with her long, slender legs swinging back and forth, occasionally brushing against her shapely buttocks, displaying remarkable elasticity.

Her exquisite feet were like flawless white jade, resembling a perfect work of art, undeniably alluring.

"Allow me to introduce you. Dustin Rhys, this is my granddaughter, Miss Roselyn Grantwood. She's quite accomplished in both traditional and Western medicine," Dr. Elijah said with a smile.

"Hello, Miss Roselyn," Dustin greeted politely.

Chapter 1282 A Spoilt Granddaughter

"Grandfather, why do you keep bringing strangers here?" Roselyn frowned, appearing somewhat displeased.

"Roselyn, show some respect!"

Dr. Elijah's expression turned stern. "This young man just helped us at Healwell and has done us a favor. I naturally wanted to invite him in for tea."

"What can he do for us?" Roselyn scrutinized Dustin skeptically.

"Just a while ago, Healwell had a medical mishap, and this young man came to our aid. Otherwise, our reputation would have been ruined," Dr. Elijah explained seriously.

"If that's the case, Grandfather, why do we need someone else's help?" Roselyn still didn't believe it.

Healwell had a strong reputation, and many patients who couldn't be cured at other hospitals were referred here.

How could someone as young as Dustin possibly be better than Healwell's physicians?

"Roselyn, appearances can be deceiving. Although Dustin is young, his medical skills are exceptional, and he's not inferior to you!" Dr. Elijah replied.

"You say that every time, but fine, whatever. You can talk to him; I'm going to my room," Roselyn said indifferently, giving Dustin a sideways glance before heading to her own room.

"Young man, my granddaughter has been spoiled by me and doesn't understand manners. Please forgive her." Dr. Elijah sighed.

"It's not a problem at all. Miss Roselyn is quite candid," Dustin replied with a slight smile.

"Come, have a seat and let's talk."

Dr. Elijah gestured for Dustin to sit down, poured a cup of tea, and then asked, "Young man, I wonder why you've come to see me?"

There were only two reasons people visited Healwell: to seek medical treatment or to become an apprentice.

Dr. Elijah secretly hoped it was the latter.

"Dr Grantwood, to be honest, I came to Healwell to inquire about someone," Dustin got straight to the point.

"Oh? Who are you looking for?" Dr. Elijah was curious.

"Have you ever heard of a person named Lorenzo Doley?" Dustin asked, his gaze sharp.

" Lorenzo Doley?"

Dr. Elijah was momentarily taken aback, and a trace of astonishment flickered in his eyes. However, he quickly regained his composure, as if nothing had happened.

But Dustin had noticed this subtle reaction.

"Young man, I don't know anyone named Lorenzo. You must have mistaken me for someone else," Dr. Elijah denied with a shake of his head, feigning ignorance.

"Don't know him? But I've heard that Lorenzo is at Healwell," Dustin squinted.

"Healwell has hundreds of patients every day, and I don't know if there's anyone named Lorenzo among them," Dr. Elijah replied, unperturbed.

"If even Dr Grantwood doesn't know, then it's troublesome," Dustin sighed.

"Although I don't know Lorenzo, I can help you inquire around. I'm just curious, what business do you have with him?" Dr. Elijah asked, probing.

"Lorenzo is my lifesaver. I'm searching for him to repay the debt of gratitude from years ago," Dustin's expression grew serious.

"I see..."

Dr. Elijah nodded thoughtfully and continued, "While I don't know Lorenzo, I'll keep an eye out for information about him. As soon as I hear anything, I'll notify you."

"Thank you, Dr Grantwood."

Dustin stood up and bowed. "You must be busy, so I won't disturb you any longer. Goodbye."

"Please."

Dr. Elijah smiled and accompanied Dustin out. He watched him until he was far away before heaving a sigh of relief.

"Why is this happening? It's been ten years. Why is someone still looking for Lorenzo? Could it be... that the secret has been leaked?"

Dr. Elijah muttered to himself, his gaze shifting toward the stairs leading to the third floor.

Lorenzo had a sensitive identity, and if exposed, it could spell disaster for Healwell!

Chapter 1283 Debt of Gratitude

After closing the door on the second floor, Dr. Elijah hesitated for a moment before finally ascending to the third floor.

The third floor was tightly sealed, with multiple layers of locks, including iron doors, iron grids, security doors, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems.

The security was so tight that not even a fly could get in.

After going through a series of unlocking procedures, Dr. Elijah finally reached the third floor.

The third floor was dimly lit, and most of the rooms were filled with miscellaneous items meant to conceal their true purpose.

However, the innermost room was clean, tidy, and warm.

At this moment, on the bed in the room, lay a middle-aged man who was thin and pale.

The man was unconscious, with weak and almost imperceptible breathing, as if he were dead.

Dr. Elijah approached the man's bedside and habitually checked his pulse before letting out a long sigh.

"Ah... It's been ten years. I wonder when you'll wake up."

"It's a pity that I, Elijah, have the reputation of a divine physician, but I can't cure your illness. It's truly lamentable!"

Dr. Elijah shook his head and took out a pill, which he fed to the man. His expression was tinged with sadness.

He had been guarding Lorenzo for a full ten years.

During those ten years, he had consulted various ancient texts and tried various methods, but he had never been able to awaken Lorenzo.

The only thing he could do was to preserve her life.

"Master, I have something to tell you."

"Today, a young man named Dustin came looking for you, but I didn't know his background, so I sent him away."

"I can tell that this young man is not ordinary. If he's an enemy, then we're in trouble."

"He managed to trace his way here, which means he came prepared. It might not be long before Healwell can't hide you anymore."

"Master, if you can hear me, please wake up soon."

Dr. Elijah muttered to himself as he massaged Lorenzo's body.

For ten years, he had come upstairs every day to speak to the person in front of him.

It had become a habit.

"Dr Grantwood, would you mind if I tried to help Uncle Lorenzo's condition?" A calm voice suddenly sounded at the doorway.

"Who?!"

Dr. Elijah was startled and turned around abruptly to see Dustin's eyes. He was taken aback and exclaimed, "It's you? How are you here? Why didn't you leave?!"

He had finally realized that he had been tricked.

"I'm sorry, Dr Grantwood. I lied to you just now, but I had no choice. Please forgive me." Dustin bowed deeply, apologizing with both hands clasped together.

Dr. Elijah clearly didn't trust him. He knew that relentless questioning would get him nowhere. So, he decided to use a different approach, luring his opponent into exposing himself.

Although it was somewhat unscrupulous, it was his only option.

"Who are you, and why did you come here?!" Dr. Elijah asked, still on guard, and he positioned himself to protect Lorenzo.

Although he had no martial arts skills, he was ready to fight if necessary.

"I mean no harm, Dr Grantwood. I'm here not for revenge but to repay a debt of gratitude," Dustin said seriously.

"Repay a debt of gratitude?"

Dr. Elijah furrowed his brows, still suspicious. "Do you know Lorenzo? What's your relationship with him?"

"To be honest, Dr Grantwood, I have a history with Uncle Lorenzo, and he once saved my life. It was difficult for me to find his whereabouts this time, so I came to visit him in hopes of repaying my debt. I hope you won't take it to your heart, Dr Grantwood." Dustin lowered his head slightly.

"A history? Repay a debt?"

Chapter 1284 The Powerful Energy Seal

Dr. Elijah fixed his gaze on Dustin, as if trying to discern something from his expression. However, he couldn't find any flaws, and he became more cautious.

"Why should I trust you?" Dr. Elijah said warily.

"Dr Grantwood, if I were here for revenge, I could easily kill both of you," Dustin replied calmly, his fingers flicking as he released a burst of energy.

In the next moment, a vase on the windowsill exploded with a loud "bang," and shards scattered all over the floor.

"Ah?"

Dr. Elijah blinked, his face showing a solemn expression.

Being able to shatter a vase from a distance with energy clearly indicated that Dustin possessed martial arts skills. If he truly had malicious intentions, Dr Grantwood would be defenseless.

Therefore, he had no choice now.

"Dr Grantwood, I apologize for any offense. Please forgive me." Dustin bowed again.

"Very well! I will temporarily trust that you came here out of gratitude. However, it's a pity that you have come too late."

Dr. Elijah stepped aside, his gaze falling on Lorenzo on the bed. He said, "Lorenzo has been in a vegetative state for ten years now, and I have tried various methods, but he has yet to wake up."

"Dr Grantwood, let me try. I am proficient in some esoteric medical techniques, and I might be able to help," Dustin said as he walked to the bedside.

"You?"

Dr. Elijah shook his head. "Young man, it's not that I look down on you, but Lorenzo's condition is far from simple. His body contains a powerful energy that I have been unable to dissipate to this day. I can only rely on elixirs to keep him alive."

Ten years ago, Lorenzo's injuries had been severe, resulting in a significant loss of vital energy and nearly complete organ failure.

Although Dr. Elijah had managed to prolong his life, it was only a temporary solution and couldn't bring him back to consciousness.

Moreover, there was a formidable energy within Lorenzo's body that he had been unable to neutralize, causing continuous damage to his meridians.

He had tried various methods but had been unable to expel this energy, which was the root cause of the illness.

"Whether it will work or not, we won't know until we try," Dustin said, sitting down by the bedside and beginning to examine Lorenzo's condition.

However, within moments, he furrowed his brows.

Dr. Elijah had been right. Lorenzo's condition was indeed severe, even worse than Dustin had anticipated.

If it weren't for his strong foundation and the life-prolonging elixirs, he might have died long ago.

Dustin took a deep breath and attempted to infuse a stream of true energy into Lorenzo's body to investigate further. However, in the next instant, it seemed like something within Lorenzo's body had been triggered.

A surge of incredibly powerful energy rushed forth suddenly.

The two streams of true energy collided, contending with each other before ultimately annihilating each other.

"It really is unusual!" Dustin's expression became serious.

Through his earlier examination, he had discovered that Lorenzo wasn't merely injured; he was under some kind of seal.

This seal was deeply hidden and constantly damaging Lorenzo's body.

Furthermore, any external force that entered would trigger the seal and suffer a violent counterattack.

No wonder Dr. Elijah had been helpless, and no wonder Lorenzo had never awakened.

It turned out there was another layer to this problem.

"Young man, if it's not working, you don't have to force yourself. Lorenzo's chances of waking up in this lifetime are slim," Dr. Elijah sighed.

"Dr Grantwood, you're mistaken. Uncle Lorenzo will definitely wake up because I can cure him!" Dustin made a startling declaration.

"What did you say? You can cure him?"

Dr. Elijah couldn't believe his ears. "Young man, are you joking with me? I've been studying this disease for ten years and still haven't found a solution. How could you, a young man in his twenties, claim that you can cure it?"

Chapter 1285 Soul-Annihilating Formation

"Even though it's quite troublesome, I can indeed treat him," Dustin nodded solemnly. "However, I need your help, Dr Grantwood."

"Young man, if you can cure the disease, I'd sell this entire Healwell without hesitation!" Dr. Elijah said, then shifted his focus. "But the problem is, how can you prove your abilities?"

Considering the gravity of the situation, he wouldn't take any risks, especially when it came to his lifesaver, entrusted to a young man he had just met.

"You mentioned earlier that there is a powerful energy within Uncle Lorenzo's body. Would it be proof enough if I were to eliminate that energy?" Dustin replied with a question.

"Hmm?"

Dr. Elijah's eyes widened, and he spoke solemnly, "Young man, this energy is incredibly powerful and unyielding. Ordinary medical techniques are incapable of dissolving it. You shouldn't speak so casually."

If this energy can be easily be dissipated, Dr Grantwood would have not struggled this long?

"Ordinary medical techniques might not work, but I possess more than just medical knowledge; I also have esoteric arts (expertise in mystical, spiritual, or occult practices that are not widely understood or practiced by the general population)," Dustin said seriously. "Dr Grantwood, give me half an hour, and I will eliminate this energy. Then you will understand."

"Geez..." Dr. Elijah furrowed his brows and hesitated.

Truthfully, he didn't fully trust Dustin. The young man was too young, and his intentions were unclear. Dr Grantwood couldn't even be certain whether the person before him was good or bad.

"Dr Grantwood, I believe you know that Uncle Lorenzo has been enduring for ten years, and his time is running out. The situation can't get any worse than this. If you have no other solutions, why not let me try?" Dustin persuaded.

Hearing these words, Dr. Elijah fell into silence. He couldn't help but admit that Lorenzo had indeed reached his limits. How much longer could he survive? Three months? Five months? Perhaps even less? Dragging on like this would be futile.

After a moment of silence, Dr. Elijah finally nodded. "Very well, I'll let you try, but safety must be the top priority."

"Uncle Lorenzo has shown me great kindness, and I would never risk his life," Dustin nodded in agreement.

"Alright, please proceed," Dr. Elijah said, stepping aside.

In theory, he shouldn't have trusted Dustin. However, the young man's confidence had deeply influenced him. Perhaps there truly was a miracle in the making.

After persuading Dr. Elijah, Dustin took a deep breath and pulled out a silver needle, sealing Lorenzo's eight extraordinary meridians. This would prevent the true energy from running rampant and causing harm to his body.

Next, he fed Lorenzo a heart-protecting elixir to ensure his safety.

With all the preparations in place, Dustin began his treatment.

The seal within Lorenzo's body was known as the Soul-Annihilating Formation, a lost art that specialized in harming others.

As the name suggested, it was designed to control the life and death of its victims.

Even if the practitioner was hundreds of miles away, as long as they wished, they could easily take someone's life.

Setting up this formation was a complex process, and breaking it was even more challenging.

To dispel it, the person attempting to break the seal had to be stronger than the one who set it, and they needed to be well-versed in formations and esoteric arts.

Both conditions were stringent.

Ten years ago, Dustin wouldn't have been able to handle this. However, he had reached the level of a half-step Grandmaster now, making it possible for him to break the Soul-Annihilating Formation.

The main issue was that Lorenzo's condition was extremely fragile, and his body couldn't withstand any shocks.

So, Dustin had to be extremely cautious, with safety as the top priority.

This increased the difficulty significantly.

Dustin took a deep breath, then extended his palm and gently pressed it against Lorenzo's chest.

Chapter 1286 Breaking the Seal

At the same time, the profound and clear true energy within him rapidly gathered and began flowing into Lorenzo's meridians.

"Thump, thump, thump..."

Suddenly, Lorenzo's heart began to beat faster. Following that, a fiercely powerful true energy surged out from his body, rapidly and ferociously rushing towards Dustin's profound and clear true energy.

In the instant when these two true energies clashed, Lorenzo's body trembled slightly, as if he had been struck by an electric shock.

Dustin's brows furrowed, and he immediately guided his profound and clear true energy to engage in a gentle battle with it. The true energy generated by the Soul-Annihilating Formation was incredibly robust, akin to a fierce beast attempting to devour any intruders. To ensure Lorenzo's safety, Dustin dared not engage in a direct confrontation but instead chose a strategy of using softness to overcome strength.

By constantly supplying his own true energy, he gradually depleted the true energy of the Soul-Annihilating Formation.

The moment the formation's true energy was completely exhausted and could no longer function, that would be the time to break the formation.

Time passed gradually.

Dustin remained completely focused, continuously infusing true energy into Lorenzo's body.

As time went on, sweat started pouring down his forehead, and his complexion grew paler.

The entire process was extremely energy-consuming, as each true energy strand from the Soul-Annihilating Formation required double the amount of his own true energy to dissolve.

It was like trying to accomplish twice the work with half the effort.

"Thump, thump, thump, thump..."

As the two true energies battled, Lorenzo's heart began to beat even more violently. His face turned red, and he felt feverish all over. White mist started to emanate from his body.

Dr. Elijah watched with a pounding heart, filled with anxiety. However, he didn't dare to disturb Dustin at this critical moment and could only fret on the sidelines.

"This is quite challenging..." Dustin muttered to himself, his eyes showing signs of worry.

He was on the verge of running out of true energy. If he couldn't completely drain the true energy of the Soul-Annihilating Formation before his own energy was depleted, it would be troublesome.

"Hum!"

Just when Dustin was starting to feel anxious, the Heavenly Spirit Pearl hanging from his chest suddenly spun rapidly.

A surge of energy burst forth, replenishing Dustin's nearly exhausted dantian at an incredibly fast rate.

"This is perfect!"

Dustin's spirits lifted, a sense of relief washing over him. The Heavenly Spirit Pearl truly lived up to its reputation as a holy relic of the martial world. At this crucial moment, it displayed a miraculous effect, like rain falling during a drought.

Rejuvenated by the replenished energy, Dustin continued to supply true energy without pause.

After a while, the Soul-Annihilating Formation finally reached its limit, and the fiercely dominating true energy it emitted began to weaken rapidly, losing its previous ferocity.

Seizing the opportunity, Dustin immediately advanced, directing his profound and clear true energy to gradually consume the remaining true energy of the formation. Then, he reversed the flow and headed directly for the formation's core.

The Soul-Annihilating Formation sensed the threat and fiercely resisted, launching a relentless assault on Lorenzo's meridians.

"Thump, thump, thump, thump..."

Lorenzo's heart started beating more violently once again. His whole body turned hot, and white mist emanated from him continuously.

"Trouble!"

Dustin's expression changed.

Lorenzo's body had clearly reached its limit.

If they continued with the gradual approach, there was a risk that he might die from the overwhelming stress before they could break the formation!

"I can't delay any longer!"

Dustin took a deep breath, suddenly retracted his palm, and forcefully pressed his finger against Lorenzo's chest. All of his true energy erupted at once. "Break!!"

Chapter 1287 A Life-saving Favor

"Boom!"

When Dustin's finger touched Lorenzo's chest, the latter's body shuddered violently, and he spewed a large amount of blood from his mouth and nose.

Half of the meridians in his body directly shattered, making his already frail body even more fragile. He seemed like a candle flickering in the wind, on the verge of being extinguished at any moment.

Simultaneously, the Soul-Annihilating Formation, which was like maggots on bones, crumbled under Dustin's touch.

"Sir Lorenzo!"

Elijah was startled, his face turning pale. He hurriedly approached to check Lorenzo's condition. Once he confirmed that Lorenzo was still alive, he felt a slight sense of relief.

"Dustin! I told you not to act recklessly. Why didn't you listen? Do you realize that you almost killed Lorenzo just now?!" Elijah scolded him vigorously.

Dustin sat exhausted on a chair, panting heavily. His entire body was drenched in sweat, as if he had been pulled out of water, completely drained.

After regaining his breath slightly, Dustin said slowly, "The situation was even more challenging than I expected. Although it was risky, I succeeded. The true energy inside Lorenzo's body has been neutralized."

"Neutralized?"

Elijah was taken aback and reached out again to feel Lorenzo's pulse. Although the pulse was very weak, the previously violent and domineering aura had indeed disappeared.

"Is it really neutralized? How is that possible?" Elijah was both astonished and delighted, finding it hard to believe.

For ten years, he had researched and tried various methods but couldn't solve the mysterious ailment. Yet, a young man in his twenties had managed to do it?

Could this kid be so extraordinary?

Elijah swallowed hard, and to avoid any mistake, he carefully examined the situation several times. In the end, he had to admit that Dustin had indeed neutralized the overwhelming aura, relieving Lorenzo of his suffering.

Despite his disbelief, he had to acknowledge that Dustin excelled in the field of mystic arts.

A young man with such abilities was truly remarkable.

"Young man, your medical skills are truly mystical and miraculous. I greatly admire you," Elijah said sincerely.

"You don't need to be so polite, Dr Grantwood. As I mentioned before, Sir Lorenzo saved my life. I'm just repaying a debt of gratitude," Dustin waved his hand.

"In that case, are we fellow practitioners now?" Elijah chuckled and said, "Twelve years ago, my entire family was pursued and almost wiped out by enemies. It was Sir Lorenzo who happened to pass by, drawing his sword to help, and saved my family. Speaking of which, I owe Sir Lorenzo more than one life."

"Dr Grantwood, you have been wholeheartedly taking care of Sir Lorenzo for ten years, and you have paid off your debt," Dustin replied.

"I owe him a life-saving favor that I can never fully repay. Unfortunately, my medical skills are not proficient, so I couldn't cure Sir Lorenzo's illness. I feel ashamed," Elijah shook his head and sighed. "On the other hand, you, young man, used mysterious techniques to save Sir Lorenzo's life. You're truly remarkable."

Chapter 1288 Recipe for a Divine Pill

"Speaking of saving lives, it's still too early."

Dustin's expression became serious. "Although I neutralized the true energy in Sir Lorenzo's body, his bodily functions have been severely damaged, and his extraordinary meridians have been heavily injured. Right now, he's no different from a living corpse. To make him regain consciousness, we must rebuild his meridians and give him a fresh start."

"Rebuild his meridians? Give him a fresh start?" Elijah furrowed his brow upon hearing this. "To achieve that, we would need the legendary Bone Cleansing Pill, but the formula for the Bone Cleansing Pill has long been lost. Where can we find it?"

The Bone Cleansing Pill, as recorded in ancient texts, was a miraculous medicine. When consumed, it allowed one to cleanse their meridians, shed their old self, and be reborn anew. It could treat meridian ruptures and congenital disabilities. However, the Bone Cleansing Pill was extremely rare, and Elijah had only heard of it; he had never seen one.

"Dr Grantwood, to be honest, I happened to have read the formula for the Bone Cleansing Pill, and I've memorized it all," Dustin unexpectedly said.

"What?" Elijah's eyes widened in disbelief. "Y-you...you know the formula for the Bone Cleansing Pill?"

"I've seen it in my family's collection of ancient books. I read it when I was young, and I still remember it," Dustin nodded.

The library in the West Lucozia Royal Residence (aka King’s mansion) contained an abundance of extraordinary books. Each book in there was a priceless treasure. Dustin had loved reading since he was a child and had an exceptional memory. Most of the knowledge from those books was now stored in his mind.

"I didn't expect that, I didn't expect it at all. Young man, you're so knowledgeable that you even know the formula for the Bone Cleansing Pill. That's truly amazing!" Elijah exclaimed in astonishment.

After his initial surprise, Elijah couldn't help but be overjoyed. The most challenging problem they faced now seemed to have a solution.

"Wait a moment..."

As if he had suddenly realized something, Elijah added, "Young man, while you know the formula for the Bone Cleansing Pill, where can we find an alchemist? Throughout the entire world, alchemists capable of refining the Bone Cleansing Pill are incredibly rare. They are like a needle in a haystack. Where can we possibly find one?"

Treating a patient was one thing, but refining pills was another. Elijah might be skilled in medicine, but when it came to alchemy, he only had limited knowledge. A divine pill like the Bone Cleansing Pill could only be successfully crafted by a top-tier alchemist.

"Dr Grantwood, you don't need to worry. I'm quite proficient in alchemy as well. Making a Bone Cleansing Pill shouldn't be too difficult," Dustin reassured him.

"What? You know alchemy too?!" Elijah was shocked. "Young man, you...are you kidding me?"

"When it concerns a matter of life and death, I wouldn't joke," Dustin replied solemnly. "I used to read a lot of books, and I'm well-versed in alchemical knowledge. I can't guarantee a one hundred percent success rate, but I should be close to ninety-nine percent."

"...," Elijah's mouth twitched, and he found himself speechless. A success rate of ninety-nine percent? Even the most exceptional alchemists in the Dragonmarsh probably couldn't achieve that, right?

Where on earth did this kid come from? He excelled in martial arts, was proficient in medicine, skilled in mystic arts, and now, he claimed to be proficient in alchemy as well.

Did the Dragonmarsh really have such an extraordinary talent? It was beyond belief.

If Elijah hadn't witnessed it with his own eyes, he wouldn't have believed that such a person existed.

He was simply a monster!

Elijah swallowed hard, and after struggling to process the situation, he finally managed to ask, "Young man, may I dare to ask if there's anything you cannot do?"

Chapter 1289 Bit of Knowledge

Elijah's words had left Dustin somewhat speechless. Was there anything he cannot do?

Martial arts, medicine, alchemy, mystic arts, Taoist secrets, southern witchcraft, and all sorts of other strange and exotic skills—all of them seemed to be at least somewhat familiar to him. He had dabbled in so many different fields that there were very few things he couldn't do.

"Well... I've read a variety of books, so I have a bit of knowledge about many things," Dustin modestly replied.

"A bit of knowledge?" Elijah's face twitched, and his expression became increasingly peculiar.

A young man who could unleash internal energy, making him at least a rare innate martial artist? And this was just a "bit of knowledge"?

The energy residue within Sir Lorenzo's body had left Elijah helpless for ten years, but Dustin had effortlessly dispelled it with a single finger. And this was just a "bit of knowledge"?

Having access to top-quality pill recipes and being able to refine a Bone Cleansing Pill that rivaled the top alchemists in the Dragonmarsh—this was just a "bit of knowledge"?

Proficient in multiple extraordinary skills, excelling in each of them.

If this was just a "bit of knowledge," then ninety-nine percent of the world's population should commit suicide.

This young man's modesty was quite terrifying.

"Dr Grantwood, although I can refine the Bone Cleansing Pill, it would still require your assistance with the medicinal ingredients," Dustin suddenly said.

"No problem, when it comes to medicinal ingredients, I have an extensive collection at Healwell," Elijah replied confidently.

"I've written down the medicinal ingredients needed to refine the Bone Cleansing Pill; you can take a look," Dustin said as he handed over paper and pen.

Elijah took the list and quickly looked it over, but soon his brow furrowed, and he wore a solemn expression. "Young man, while I can obtain most of the medicinal ingredients you've listed, there are three rare ones that will be quite difficult to find."

He had always enjoyed collecting rare medicinal ingredients and believed that his medicinal herb repository was comprehensive and contained everything needed. However, three of the ingredients listed presented him with a dilemma.

"Oh? May I ask, Dr Grantwood, which three medicinal ingredients you find challenging to acquire?" Dustin inquired.

"Ice Heart Lotus, Dragon Blood Ginseng, and Golden Marrow Jade," Elijah said, pointing to the corresponding parts of the recipe. "These are all top-grade medicinal ingredients and can be considered priceless treasures. Even my Healwell, let alone other medical establishments in Stonia, would struggle to gather them all."

"Dr Grantwood, these three medicinal ingredients are essential and cannot be replaced with substitutes. Please inquire around to see if you can find any information on them. If they cannot be located, I will explore other options," Dustin explained.

"That's the only way," Elijah agreed, deep in thought.

Even if he had to sell Healwell, he would be willing to do whatever it took to save Sir Lorenzo.

"Grandpa, something happened downstairs..."

At that moment, a clear voice suddenly sounded at the door. When the two men turned to look, they saw that Roselyn had somehow arrived at the entrance.

"Grandpa, why is he allowed to come up here when I'm not? Didn't you tell me that I shouldn't come to the third floor?" Roselyn pointed at Dustin with a surprised and suspicious expression on her face.

The third floor was off-limits to her, and there had been one instance where she couldn't resist her curiosity and had sneaked up. When her grandpa found out, he had sternly scolded her and warned her not to tell anyone about it. Since then, the third floor had been strictly forbidden.

"Roselyn! Why are you here?" Elijah's expression darkened. "I warned you not to come to the third floor without permission!"

"But, Grandpa, why is he allowed to be here?" Roselyn pointed at Dustin, looking both surprised and puzzled.

Even she wasn't allowed on the third floor, and yet he was.

"Roselyn, I've explained this to you before. The third floor is a forbidden area for you. You mustn't enter," Elijah admonished her.

"Grandpa, I understand, but why is he allowed to be here?" Roselyn continued to question, her eyes filled with curiosity and confusion.

Chapter 1290 Scar-faced Man

Roselyn couldn't understand why her grandfather had revealed this secret to someone he had just met.

"Well..." Elijah hesitated, feeling a bit embarrassed.

He couldn't exactly tell her that the young man had forced his way in, could he?

"I am the Lord’s nephew, and I came to visit my Lord," Dustin explained.

"That's right, this young man is Sir Lorenzo's nephew, and it's only natural for him to visit his uncle," Elijah said solemnly.

"Nephew? Uncle?" Roselyn looked Dustin up and down with suspicion. "Grandpa, are you sure you're not being deceived? Sir Lorenzo has been in a coma here for ten years, and suddenly, there's a nephew? Do you really think that's possible?"

"Roselyn, you're overthinking it. I believe in the character of young Mr. Rhys," Elijah said seriously.

"But..." Roselyn was about to say more when Elijah raised his hand to stop her. "Enough already, what happened downstairs just now? Tell me."

"Oh, that thug Lenny Mazer is here again. He said that the medicine you prescribed last time not only didn't cure his injury but made it worse. If you don't give him an explanation today, he's going to tear down our Healwell!" Roselyn complained indignantly.

Upon hearing this, Elijah furrowed his brows. "I thought we would have a bit more time, but it seems trouble has arrived sooner than expected."

"Dr Grantwood, what's going on?" Dustin asked, trying to find out more.

"Well, you see, Healwell is in a prime location, has a prominent reputation, and there was a pharmaceutical company that has been trying to buy us out. After multiple refusals from me, they've been causing trouble and tarnishing Healwell's reputation," Elijah explained.

"Oh? They're trying to use forceful means?" Dustin raised an eyebrow. "Is the government here really that ineffective? Aren't there any authorities to handle this kind of situation?"

"Sigh... Going to the authorities won't do much good. Those troublemakers are pretty crafty. They stir up chaos, and as soon as the patrol officers show up, they vanish like smoke. Even if they get caught, they're out in a few days, thanks to some powerful backers," Elijah said, looking utterly frustrated.

Dealing with officers and soldiers is quite a hassle for someone like Dr. Elijah. While he's a well-known physician, he's at a loss when it comes to handling these situations. After several months of dealing with all this chaos, he's completely worn out, both physically and mentally.

"Dr. Grantwood, want to head down there with me and check it out? I've dealt with folks like this before, and maybe I can lend a hand," Dustin suggested.

"You? What's your game plan?" Roselyn raised an eyebrow, her face oozing skepticism. "Lenny's a big-shot local gang leader, and he's got some heavy hitters backing him. As an outsider, how do you plan to go up against that?"

"Well, Mr. Rhys, taking on Lenny might be a tall order. Let me handle this," Elijah chimed in, his expression a mix of emotions.

"Grandpa, no need to fret too much. I've already given Big Brother the heads up, and once he shows up, he'll handle Lenny no problem. Right now, we can just try to buy some time," Roselyn reassured with confidence.

"Sounds like we can count on Carlos then," Elijah agreed with a nod. "Let's go, we'll head downstairs and meet them."

With that, he took the lead, and the three of them made their way downstairs.

Down on the ground floor in the Healwell clinic, a rugged-looking man with a scar on his face was perched on the counter, casually munching on an apple. He had a knife in hand, and he peeled the fruit with a nonchalant demeanor.

Behind him, a bunch of henchmen were causing a ruckus, driving all the patients out of the clinic.

Inside Healwell, all the doctors and apprentices had gathered in a corner, their faces etched with fear, and they shook nervously, afraid to utter a word.

"Hey, hey, where's Elijah? Tell him to get out here right now! I'll give him till the count of three, and if he's not here, I'll wreck that Healwell sign of yours!" Scar-faced Lenny grew increasingly impatient, grumbling, "One, two, three! If he's not here right this instant, that Healwell sign is history!"

Hey folks,

Let's have a little fun here and give Gregory's legendary booger the recognition it deserves. I mean, it's not your run-of-the-mill booger, right? So, how about we give it a name and make it part of the story? What do you all think? I'm running low on creative juices, so I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Here are a few to get the ball rolling:

1. Heavenly booger
2. Celestial booger
3. Doomsday booger
4. Soul-sucking booger
5. Atomic booger
6. Blackamole booger
7. Boogerdeath
8. Boogerazor

Got any cool names to add to the mix? 😄👃
Add Akinoa I think that might sound different or you add Abike.

How many chapters left please?
How many chapters?
For example, I read The Amazing Son-in-law novel when it had just 800 chapters. It's still on going now. 5000+ chapters though I quit at 4000+.
Same story line like here. Marvin Ye(Charley Wade in English) got divorced but despite his ex-wife's exact actions no different than this novel's Dahlia, he still is involved with her. In fact, even when pursued by a better woman, like this novel's Natasha, he just can't leave her.
Many other Chinese novels follow this exact format. I hope that this one will be different...

Chapter 1271 Plans For The Future

In this moment, everyone from the Harmon family was stunned.

Old Harmon's words hit like thunderbolts, striking at the hearts of those present.

None of them had expected that this dignified and regal elderly man before them was none other than the highly esteemed Duke of Dragonmarsh!

In the hierarchy of titles in Dragonmarsh – Duke, Marquis, Earl, Viscount, and Baron – the Duke held the highest position, being the foremost noble and an extraordinary figure.

His status was so high that he even ranked above the top officials in Dragonmarsh.

He was a true heavyweight in the pinnacle of power!

The Grant family had become the top three in Balermo solely by virtue of a Viscount's title. If it were a Duke's title, it would be beyond imagination.

So, the question arose: How could such an influential figure as the Duke of Dragonmarsh personally visit the Harmon family?

Who could have invited such a paramount presence?

"Why are you all standing there dumbstruck? Hurry up and pay your respects to the Duke Duncan!" Old Harmon shouted, sweat breaking out on his body.

The elderly man before them was none other than Natasha's grandfather, the renowned Duke of Dragonmarsh, Duncan!

"Pay... pay our respects to the Duke Duncan!" The Harmon family members, as if awakening from a dream, hurriedly knelt down and bowed in respect.

Each of them was filled with genuine trepidation and nervousness.

They knew that someone of the Duke's stature, with a mere gesture, could bring ruin to the entire Harmon family.

"Duke Duncan, your esteemed presence graces us, and we beg your forgiveness for any shortcomings in our welcome," Old Harmon bowed and lowered his head.

"Hmph! If it weren't for my granddaughter, would I even come to this wretched place of yours?" Duncan replied with a cold expression, showing no appreciation.

From the very beginning, he had opposed his daughter's marriage into the Harmon family.

Harmon family was small and insignificant, hardly worthy of the Duke's daughter.

However, his daughter insisted on her love, and she chose to elope with Hector, her lover, much to his dismay. This led to him severing all ties with them.

It was only when his granddaughter was born that relations between the two sides began to mend.

As for Hector, the nominal son-in-law, he had never gained Duncan's approval.

"Grandfather, why have you come?" Natasha couldn't help but be surprised at Duncan's sudden visit.

Ever since she could remember, her grandfather and her father had always been at odds, and he had never set foot in the Harmon family's home.

"Grandfather?" Hearing this, everyone was shocked and bewildered.

What was going on?

Natasha was actually the Duke's granddaughter?

After spending so much time together, how did they not know anything about this?

"I heard about the troubles in the Harmon family, so I came to check on you. How are you, dear? Are you hurt?" Duncan's gaze softened, and he adopted a kind and gentle demeanor, a complete contrast to his previous cold and domineering attitude.

"I'm fine, but my father..." Natasha hesitated, her spirits dampened.

"I've heard about your father's situation. The murderer has been captured and punished. May you find solace in your grief," Duncan sighed lightly.

Although he had always looked down on Hector, he couldn't ignore the fact that he was his son-in-law. With Hector's sudden death, as his father-in-law, he had no choice but to step in.

"Dear, what are your plans for the future?" Duncan changed the topic.

"I don't know," Natasha shook her head.

She was currently feeling overwhelmed and lost.

"Well, since you don't know, how about coming back with me?" Duncan gently suggested, "A place like this is completely unworthy of you. Stonia is where you truly belong."

Chapter 1272 Once in a Lifetime Opportunity

"If I leave, what will happen to the Harmon family?" Natasha looked back and asked.

Her father had just passed away, and the Harmon family was on the brink of collapse. She felt guilty for leaving at this critical time.

"The Harmon family is the Harmon family, and you are you. Don't burden yourself with unnecessary guilt. I only wish that you could live a happy life, and nothing else," Duncan replied.

"But..." Natasha hesitated.

She had lived with the Harmon family for many years, and it was not easy for her to simply walk away.

"Never mind, I can make an exception and help the Harmon family," Duncan said earnestly. "As long as you promise to come with me to Stonia, I guarantee that within a year, the Harmon family will recover to its peak, and within three years, it will surpass the Grant family and become the top among the Three Supreme Families. How does that sound?"

With these words, the entire Harmon family exploded with excitement.

They were filled with joy and enthusiasm.

Recovery to its peak within a year, surpassing the Grant family within three years to become the top among the Three Supreme Families – it was an incredible opportunity, a once-in-a-lifetime chance!

Of course, if anyone else had said this, they would have never believed it.

But when it came from the Duke, a person of immense power and influence, it was a promise of gold.

Anything he said could be achieved.

Even if it were to make a pig fly, it wouldn't be surprising.

"Grandfather, are you really willing to help the Harmon family?" Natasha asked cautiously.

"Consider it a favor for you," Duncan said calmly. "Of course, the condition is that you agree to come with me."

"Well..." Natasha hesitated, still unsure.

"Um... Natasha, you have exceptional talent and potential. Staying in Millsburg is a waste. I believe that you should go with Duncan to Stonia for better development," a senior member of the Harmon family spoke up boldly.

"Yes, yes! With your talent, you deserve better cultivation. The Harmon family is limited in its abilities and can't help you. Only the Duke's residence is worthy of you."

"Natasha, there's no need to think about it. You should agree quickly. Duncan has made a sincere offer, and you can't let him down!"

At this moment, the Harmon family members began to persuade her urgently, their expressions filled with anxiety.

Previously, they had hoped that Natasha would become the family head and bear the heavy responsibility.

Now, the situation had completely reversed.

They couldn't wait for Natasha to leave as soon as possible so that Duncan could fulfill his promise.

Such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity could not be missed, or they would regret it for the rest of their lives.

"Grandfather, what do you think?" Natasha turned to her grandfather.

"Well..." Old Harmon appeared somewhat embarrassed, but he spoke reluctantly, "Natasha, actually, what your grandfather said is not wrong. Staying in Millsburg, you won't be able to fully develop your potential. Going to Stonia is where you can truly shine."

Upon hearing this, Natasha fell silent. After a while, she nodded and said, "Okay, since you all want me to go to Stonia, I'll do as you wish."

"That's wonderful! Natasha, you've made the right decision in your life!" The Harmon family members were overjoyed.

"Hmph! A bunch of opportunists!" Duncan snorted disdainfully, his eyes filled with contempt.

They could change their stance so easily for a little benefit. No wonder the Harmon family had declined so rapidly.

"Grandfather, before I go to Stonia, there's someone I need to see," Natasha suddenly said.

"Oh? Who is it?" Duncan was curious.

"His name is Dustin, my future husband."

Chapter 1273 To the Healwell

Zypher Lodge, in the reception hall.

"Miss Natasha, I'm sorry, you're a bit late. Mr. Rhys has already left Millsburg," Cornelius reported with a lowered head.

"Left? Where did he go? When did he leave?" Natasha found it a bit strange.

"Mr. Rhys left this morning for Stonia to attend to some matters. He didn't specify the details. Oh, by the way..."

Seemingly recalling something, Cornelius suddenly pulled out a letter and handed it over with both hands. "Miss Natasha, this is a letter Mr. Rhys left for you. He instructed me that if you came, I should give it to you. You will understand everything after reading it."

"A letter?"

Natasha took the envelope, opened it, and found several hundred words written inside.

The general content was that there was something important to attend to, and he wouldn't be able to return for some time. He asked her to take care of herself.

Because he was afraid she would worry, but couldn't bear to say it in person, he chose to leave a letter.

"This guy is quite fast."

After reading the letter, Natasha actually felt relieved.

She came to talk Dustin into going to Stonia with her for better opportunities, but guess what? Dustin had already gone there on his own! What a stroke of luck!

Even though it was a surprise, it seemed like both of them were heading in the same direction.

"We'll see each other in Stonia," Natasha said with a faint smile. She tucked the letter away and then exited Zypher Lodge.

Now that she knew where Dustin had gone, she didn't have to worry about anything.

Sooner or later, they would meet again in Stonia.

...

In the afternoon, at the South Station of the Stonia Railway Station.

Dustin carried his suitcase and slowly walked out with the crowded stream of people.

Compared to ten years ago, Stonia was undoubtedly even more bustling now.

Eight streets and nine alleys, a sea of people and bustling traffic.

Looking around, it resembled a celestial palace on earth, incredibly lively.

When he reached the street corner, Dustin looked around, just about to determine his direction when a taxi suddenly pulled up nearby.

A balding middle-aged man leaned half of his head out of the car window, warmly greeting, "Young man, where are you going? Need a ride? I'm very familiar with this area. Just give me an address, and I'll take you there right away."

"Healwell Clinic, can you go there?" Dustin asked.

"Hey! Healwell Clinic, right? I'm a regular customer there. I can find it even with my eyes closed."

The balding man patted his chest confidently and said, "Young man, come in, in a hurry. Today's my birthday, so I'll give you an eight percent discount!"

"Alright."

Dustin nodded and didn't say much, just got into the car.

With a roar, the vehicle started and skillfully weaved through the traffic.

"Hey, young man, it's your lucky day to ride in my car."

"It's no exaggeration when I say that in this part of the city, no one's car is faster than mine."

"Do you know my nickname? Ridge Racer Ronin!"

The balding man bragged incessantly as he drove. He was confident and recounted his glorious history.

Dustin, on the other hand, sat silently in the backseat, gazing out the window at the passing scenery.

"By the way, young man, what are you going to Healwell Clinic for? Are you going for a check-up?"

Seeing that Dustin hadn't responded, the balding man changed the topic, "If it's for a check-up, you've come to the right place. Doctor Elijah Grantwood at Healwell Clinic is famous within dozens of miles for being a miraculous physician. He specializes in treating all sorts of difficult and complicated diseases, and his medicine is always effective!"

"Oh? Do you know Doctor Elijah?"

Chapter 1274 The Miracle Clinic

Dustin slowly raised his head, his interest piqued.

The address given to him by Elara had shown that Lorenzo was living in Healwell Clinic.

And Healwell Clinic was the medical clinic opened by Dr. Elijah Grantwood.

Back then, Elijah had saved the critically injured and dying Lorenzo and had hidden him away.

Lorenzo had been unconscious for ten years, and it was Elijah who had taken meticulous care of him.

"More than knowing him? I'm not bragging, but I have a life-and-death relationship with Dr. Elijah. He often rides in my car. If you're going for a check-up, just mention my name, and I guarantee you'll get a discount!" the balding man said boldly.

"Oh? What kind of person is Doctor Elijah?" Dustin asked.

"Doctor Elijah has impeccable character; he's got a heart of gold!"

The balding man gave a thumbs-up and praised, "For poor patients, he basically doesn't take a cent, and even gives away medicine for free. If he does charge, it's just a symbolic fee for the herbs, and it's ridiculously cheap. Nowadays, genuine miracle-working doctors like him are too rare."

"Listening to you, I really want to meet this Doctor Elijah." Dustin nodded thoughtfully.

He was becoming more curious about Elijah as a person.

The balding man continued to talk incessantly, with no pause in his words.

Dustin simply closed his eyes and rested, not bothering to engage in conversation.

After about forty minutes, the taxi finally came to a stop.

"Young man, we've arrived at Healwell Clinic."

The balding man turned around and shouted.

Dustin opened his eyes and saw not far from the street corner, a quaintly decorated medical clinic.

The clinic was not small, with a total of three floors, and there was a constant stream of patients inside, even forming a long queue.

A golden plaque with name hung above the clinic's front door—Healwell Clinic!

"Thank you."

After confirming the address was correct, Dustin left two hundred dollars bills and got out of the car.

At this moment, there was a lively atmosphere inside Healwell Clinic.

The over 1,000-square-meter center was packed, and patients were lined up outside.

Dustin walked through the front door, looked around, and saw four or five doctors and some apprentices, but he didn't see Elijah.

He walked up to a young doctor, "Elmer Greene" on his chest badge.

"Excuse me, is Doctor Elijah here?" Dustin politely asked.

"Dr. Elijah isn't here. If you're here for medical treatment, please wait in line over there first," Elmer Greene replied with a lowered head, busy with his phone and sounding somewhat impatient.

"I'm not here for medical treatment. I came specifically to visit Doctor Elijah and seek his advice on some matters," Dustin replied calmly.

"Even if you're not here for medical treatment, you still have to wait in line!"

Elmer said impatiently, "Who is Doctor Elijah? It's not like you can just see him whenever you want. There's no sense of urgency at all! Just wait on the side and don't disturb me from playing my game!"

"Hmm?"

Dustin furrowed his brow slightly and was about to retort.

Suddenly, there was a commotion at the entrance.

"Move aside! Get out of the way!"

"Doctor! Doctor, where are you? Come out quickly to save someone!"

Accompanied by roaring, a group of suited bodyguards burst in, carrying a drenched woman and rushing in with great momentum.

Wherever they went, the crowd was directly pushed aside, and their actions were extremely rough.

"Who the hell is shouting like this..."

Elmer raised his head to scold but changed his expression instantly, abandoning his arrogance, and quickly threw away his phone, rushing over.

Chapter 1275 Where is the Doctor?

"Doctor! Where is the doctor?!"

Several bodyguards kept shouting, looking fierce and menacing, scaring the surrounding patients away, fearing trouble.

"What's going on?"

Several doctors from Healwell Clinic immediately gathered around.

"Get out of the way! Let me handle this!"

Elmer pushed aside several doctors and stepped forward, cautiously asking, "Is this Isabela of the Torby family?"

"Yes, Enough chit-chat . Save her right now!" the lead bodyguard urged in a friendly tone.

"No problem, no problem!"

Elmer's face lit up, as if he had discovered a treasure.

The Torbys was one of the eight prominent families in Stonia, with vast wealth and great influence.

As Torby's daughter, Isabela was known for her beauty and wealth.

Now, the opportunity to be a hero and save a beauty was right in front of him, and he naturally couldn't miss it.

"What happened? Where is Miss Torby injured?"

Elmer carefully examined Isabela and couldn't help furrowing his brows.

At this moment, Isabela's face was pale and her eyes were bloodshot, her breathing almost imperceptible, and she had lost consciousness.

"My young lady drank some alcohol and accidentally drove into the river on the way home. When we rescued her, she had already lost consciousness," the head bodyguard explained quickly.

"How could you drive after drinking? You guys are so careless!" Elmer complained.

"Don't waste time! Save her!"

The head bodyguard shouted.

"Don't worry, it's just a case of drowning. I can fix it in minutes."

Elmer confidently commanded two apprentices to lift Isabela up.

He then knelt on one knee and used his other knee to support Isabela's navel, then began to vigorously pat her back.

During the patting, he also raised her chin slightly to facilitate the flow of water from her abdomen.

Isabela's drowning wasn't severe; her breathing and pulse were still present, and all she needed was to expel the water.

Healwell Clinic had previously saved several drowning victims in the same technique, using the method passed down by his master, Doctor Elijah.

It was tried and tested, and it usually took only a few minutes to be effective.

After Elmer patted for a while and saw that there was still no improvement, the head bodyguard couldn't help but get anxious, "Hey! Do you know what you are doing? My young lady isn't reacting at all!"

"Strange, my master has saved people with this technique before, so why isn't it working when I'm doing it?" Elmer wiped his sweat and couldn't help but feel nervous.

He double-checked, and he hadn't used the wrong method, so what was the problem?

"The patient is already suffocating and hypoxic, her heart will stop beating soon, and the water needs to be expelled. The water expulsion technique alone isn't effective," Dustin suddenly spoke.

"Hey! What nonsense are you talking about?"

Elmer turned around and scolded, "Do you know who I am? How dare you question my medical skills?"

"Who you are doesn't matter. What's important is that your technique is wrong. If you keep doing this, she will die," Dustin warned.

"Nonsense!"

Elmer was somewhat irritated, "I am Dr. Elijah's direct disciple, who has studied medicine for more than ten years. Who are you to question me and give me orders?"

"Young man, if you don't understand, don't speak out of turn. Don't interfere with the doctor's treatment," another patient advised.

"That's right, Doctor Greene has learned medicine from Dr. Elijah since childhood and has been at Healwell Clinic for over ten years. He has seen all kinds of situations. Saving someone who has drowned is a piece of cake for him."

"People's lives are at stake, and you're not a doctor, so why are you randomly giving orders?"

A group of elderly people around joined in the reprimand.

A young kid who came to see a doctor actually dared to teach Healwell Clinic's doctors how to save a life.

Wasn't this being arrogant?

Chapter 1276 Stepping Forward

"I'm just offering advice. If someone dies because of the wrong technique, you won't have time to regret it," Dustin said coldly.

"Humph! You're just spouting nonsense!"

Elmer scolded, "This technique of saving people was personally taught by my master, it's foolproof and has never failed. Do you think you're better than my master?"

"The technique of saving people is not set in stone. It needs to be adapted to the specific situation. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You need to be flexible," Dustin explained.

"Shut up! If you talk any more nonsense, I'll kick you out right away!" Elmer became infuriated.

He was Dr. Elijah's direct disciple and the future head doctor of Healwell Clinic.

An unknown person dared to publicly criticize him, it was simply presumptuous!

"Believe it or not, it's up to you."

Dustin shook his head and said nothing more.

"Don't waste time, saving a life is the top priority!"

The head bodyguard started to urge.

Elmer suppressed his anger and began to focus on saving the person.

Seeing that the knee-pressing technique wasn't working, he immediately tried several other techniques to expel the water.

He bounced and jumped, pounded and struck for a while, but it still had no effect.

Isabela's face became even bluer and more purple, her entire body had completely lost its breath, and even her pulse had stopped beating.

"Stop! Stop quickly!"

Seeing the situation turning worse, the head bodyguard signaled Elmer to stop.

Then he stepped forward to check Isabela's pulse, and was instantly shocked, his face turning pale, "No... she has no breath left, my young lady has no breath left!"

"What?!"

This statement caused a commotion throughout the room.

No one had expected that, after a round of treatment, Isabela not only did not improve, but also lost all signs of life.

"How could this happen? How could this happen?"

Elmer was completely dumbfounded, standing still in shock and at a loss.

He had always followed his master's technique of treatment, how could he possibly have caused someone's death?

"Incompetent!"

Realizing the situation, the head bodyguard roared and slapped Elmer in the face, cursing, "You incompetent quack! You actually killed my young lady? I want you to accompany her in death! I want the entire Healwell Clinic to accompany her in death!"

"Ah?"

Elmer's legs went weak, and he sat down on the ground, his face ashen.

It was over, it was all over now.

He killed the Torby's beloved daughter, and ten lives would not be enough to make amends.

He had thought it was an opportunity for immense wealth and prosperity, but it had turned into a catastrophe.

"Guards! Demolish Healwell Clinic for me!"

"Arrest all the quacks here, don't let a single one go!"

The head bodyguard was filled with grief and anger, giving the order to demolish Healwell Clinic on the spot.

"Hold on!"

Seeing that the situation was about to spiral out of control, Dustin suddenly stepped forward and stood in front, saying, "Your young lady hasn't died yet, and I can save her!"

"Her heart has stopped beating, how can you save her?" the head bodyguard gritted his teeth.

"People have about five minutes of rescue time after they die. As long as you find a way to rescue her in time within these five minutes, your young lady can still live!" Dustin said solemnly.

"Why should I believe you?" The head bodyguard's face was dark.

"Because you have no choice. This is your only hope," Dustin said coldly.

After thinking for two seconds, the head bodyguard gritted his teeth and finally nodded, "Fine! I'll give you a chance to save her. If you can't save my young lady, I want you to be buried with Healwell Clinic!"

Chapter 1277 Last Three Minutes

"Wait a minute..."

At this moment, Elmer suddenly regained his senses and quickly said, "You don't really believe this kid's words, do you? He's not from our Healwell Clinic, you must not be deceived!"

"Deceived?"

The head bodyguard looked Dustin up and down, furrowing his brows and asked, "You're not a doctor from our Healwell Clinic?"

"I'm not a doctor from Healwell Clinic, but I have some knowledge of medicine," Dustin replied calmly.

"Humph! You're not even from our Healwell Clinic, and you dare to interfere?" Elmer shouted loudly.

"I don't want to argue with you. Get out of the way and don't interfere with me saving this person," Dustin said impatiently.

He couldn't understand what kind of person this was.

If he couldn't save the person, why not let others try?

"Kid! I warn you, this is the Torby's young lady. If you harm her in any way, ten lives won't be enough to compensate!" Elmer threatened.

With this statement, the surrounding crowd nodded in agreement.

"Hey lad, even the doctors at Healwell Clinic couldn't do anything, what can you do?"

"Yeah! Human life is at stake, don't play around. Now is not the time for you to show off!"

"Young people these days, they don't know their place. They learn a little trick and dare to come out and show off. They don't take human life seriously!"

This group of middle-aged men and women were all talking at once, some were persuading, some were doubting, and some were warning.

In their eyes, Healwell Clinic was the best clinic in the city.

Any headache, fever, or difficult illness could be resolved here.

A young man in his twenties dared to show off his medical skills in front of Healwell Clinic. It was like trying to show off a big sword in front of Warren Corvet, the God of War.

"Time is running out. Whether you want me to treat or not, it's up to you to decide," Dustin said indifferently, looking at the head bodyguard.

"If you believe me, I'll save her, and there's still a chance for your young lady to survive. If you don't believe me, then consider me not having said anything."

Although he had the intention to save the person, he wouldn't stick his neck out unnecessarily, in case he ended up with an ungrateful situation.

"Don't believe him, he's just a swindler!"

"This kind of person is willing to do anything for the limelight!"

"In my opinion, it's best to send Miss Torby to the hospital now, maybe there's still a chance!"

Elmer was anxious, trying to persuade everyone.

If Isabela died in Healwell Clinic, he would never be able to wash away his guilt. But if she died in the hospital, he could still use his master's reputation to shift the blame.

"It's too late to send her to the hospital now. Miss Torby only has three minutes of rescue time left. After this point, even immortals won't be able to save her," Dustin spoke again.

"You're talking nonsense! Miss Torby has a strong body. As long as she's sent to the hospital in time, she'll be fine. If you continue to mess around and delay Miss Torby's treatment, you'll be committing a heinous crime!" Elmer angrily shouted.

"Enough talk, it won't help. Make your choice now. Do you want me to treat her or not?" Dustin stared at the head bodyguard.

The head bodyguard looked at Isabela, who was essentially lifeless, and nodded heavily, "Treat her! Treat her right away!"

Although he didn't understand medicine, he understood that they had to make an immediate attempt at saving her life.

The nearest hospital was a twenty-minute drive away, and there was simply not enough time.

They had no choice but to resort to desperate measures.

"Miss Torby is a lady of wealth and nobility. How can you let this swindler treat her at will? What if something goes wrong? Who will be responsible?" Elmer was getting anxious.

"Shut up, you!"

The head bodyguard gave Elmer another slap and scolded, "You scum! It's all because of you! If anything happens to my young lady, I'll personally kill you!"

"Ah?"

Elmer covered his face and felt as if his soul had left his body.

Originally, he had wanted to find an excuse to shift the blame, but now it was over.

"Everyone, please step aside."

Chapter 1278 The Three Needles

Dustin waved his hand, signaling everyone to step back and give him enough space.

"Support her!"

Dustin signaled the head bodyguard to help Isabela up, then he extended his fingers, pried open her mouth, and pulled out her tongue.

Then he activated his inner energy and suddenly slapped her on the back.

"Boom!"

There was a loud noise.

Isabela's body trembled violently, her head jerked up, and she immediately "vomited" out a large amount of water.

As everyone watched in astonishment, they were horrified to find that among the vomit, there was actually a fish!

"My goodness! How could there be a fish in Miss Torby's mouth?"

"Could it be that this fish got stuck in her throat, preventing her from breathing?"

"No wonder Elmer's technique didn't work. It turns out there was a fish blocking her airway. What terrible luck!"

The onlookers were amazed and discussed among themselves.

The reason for Miss Torby's suffocation had finally been found.

"How...how is this possible?"

Elmer stared wide-eyed, finding it hard to believe.

Drunk driving and falling into a lake, and even getting a fish stuck in her throat, the probability seemed so unlikely to happen, right?

Who could have predicted this?

"My lady spat that fish along with the water from her mouth, so why is she still not breathing?" The head bodyguard first felt relieved but then quickly noticed something was wrong.

Although Isabela had vomited a lot, there were still no signs of life.

"Her heartbeat has stopped, so of course she's not breathing. But don't worry, after I give her three needles, she'll wake up," Dustin said indifferently.

"Humph! Shamelessly bragging! Do you think you're a god?" Elmer began to tear down the stage without mercy.

The person was already dead, how could she possibly be saved?

"Elmer, you're just a quack doctor who can't do it," Dustin retorted.

"Humph! You're so young and arrogant. If you can wake Miss Torby up with three needles, I'll eat everything on the ground!" Elmer pointed to the fish on the ground, along with Isabela's vomit.

"Alright, I hope you'll keep your word," Dustin nodded, no longer saying much. He took out a silver needle and pierced it into the acupoint of the ‘shenque’ point (aka ‘Spirit Gate’ is an acupuncture point in the center of the abdomen and is a point representing the last closure of the abdominal wall that occurred at the end of the embryonic development) on Isabela's navel.

Isabela lay still without any reaction.

"That's the first needle," Elmer sneered.

Dustin remained expressionless, moving the silver needle upward and piercing it heavily into Isabela's “tanzhong” acupoint (aka ‘chest-center’, located in the anterior median line of the chest, at the level of the 4th intercostal space, at the midpoint between the two nipples) on her chest.

Isabela's fingertips twitched slightly, but this subtle movement did not attract anyone's attention.

"That's the second needle," Elmer continued to sneer.

Dustin still did not speak, and the third needle was bent with a flick of his finger, directly piercing Isabela's Zhonglu acupoint (a powerful point for heart, located in the center of the breastbone) .

Isabela's body suddenly trembled as if she had been shocked by electricity.

Afterwards, there was no more response.

"Humph! It's already the third needle! You said she would wake up, why is there still no movement? In my opinion, you're just a swindler!" Elmer urgently splashed dirty water on Dustin, shouting, "You should quickly arrest this kid! He obstructed and delayed Miss Torby's rescue, which caused her death!"

His words had just fallen.

Isabela, who was lying on the ground like a corpse, suddenly sat up as if playing dead!

Chapter 1279 Million Dollar Life

"Ugh!"

Isabela suddenly sat up, emitting a choking groan.

Then, as if being reborn, she began to gasp for air greedily, taking in large breaths of the surrounding air.

The bluish color on her face quickly faded, gradually becoming rosy and radiant.

"Ah?"

The sudden turn of events startled everyone.

No one had expected that just moments ago, Miss Torby, who seemed dead, would suddenly come back to life.

"Is she awake? Could this be a fake death?"

"Oh my god! Can a dead person really be revived? Is it real?"

"What a divine doctor! Truly a divine doctor!"

A group of elderly men and women exchanged glances, their faces filled with astonishment.

Even though they were knowledgeable and well-versed in various rumors, they had never encountered such a situation before.

She had clearly died, with no breath or heartbeat.

Yet, after three needles from Dustin, she was miraculously brought back to life.

This miraculous medical skill was unheard of.

At that moment, the way everyone looked at Dustin changed completely.

"No... this can't be possible!"

"She was already dead; how could she be saved?"

Elmer was completely dumbfounded, staring wide-eyed and unable to believe it.

Dustin had said he could wake her up with three needles, but could anything be so magical?

"She's alive, she's alive! Miss is alive!"

Torby's bodyguards were first stunned, then their faces lit up with joy as they cheered.

They knew that if Isabela had really died, they would be held responsible as well. They had narrowly escaped disaster now that she was alive.

"Miss, how do you feel? Is there anything uncomfortable?"

The head bodyguard quickly squatted down and began to inquire about her condition.

"What happened? Why am I here?"

Isabela looked around, her gaze eventually settling on Elmer, puzzled as she asked, "So, it was this doctor from Healwell who saved me?"

"Humph?!"

The head bodyguard glared at Elmer, then extended his hand towards Dustin, explaining, "It was this young divine doctor who came to your rescue and saved your life."

"Is that so?"

Isabela turned her gaze to Dustin, nodded, and smiled, "Thank you, young divine doctor, for saving my life. I am deeply grateful."

"You're welcome, Miss Torby. No sweat at all" Dustin replied with a calm expression.

This calm response surprised Isabela.

Ordinary people who saw her would usually have stars in their eyes, offering flattery and currying favor.

But this person in front of her, on the other hand, showed no reaction as if he didn't care at all.

Could it be that he was using reverse psychology?

"Dare I ask for the young divine doctor's full name?" Isabela suddenly asked.

"Dustin Rhys."

"Dustin, is it? Very well, I'll remember you. If you ever encounter any trouble in the future, don't hesitate to come to the Torbys and find me," Isabela said, nodding with a smile.

"Sir, I apologize for my rudeness earlier" the head bodyguard said, clasping his hands together and apologizing.

"No worries, you were just doing your job," Dustin replied, not minding at all.

"Thank you for your magnanimity, Master."

The head bodyguard took out a check for one million and handed it over, saying, "This is a token of our appreciation from the Torbys. Please accept it, Master."

"My goodness! A one million check? Miss Torby is so generous!"

"Nonsense! Miss Torby is worth a hundred million. A million is nothing"

This action startled Dustin. He didn't expect such a generous reward for his assistance.

Chapter 1280 Eat it!

"This young doctor hit the jackpot, actually saving Miss Torby's life. It's truly meeting a guardian angel when you step out the door!"

As they gazed at that million-dollar check, the older folks couldn't help but envy.

This sum of money would be enough to secure their retirement.

"Darn it!"

Elmer clenched his fist, grinding his teeth.

This unexpected jackpot prize should have been his, but it was snatched away by Dustin.

His chance to leap up the ladder had been completely ruined by this young man.

"Thank you."

Dustin didn't stand on ceremony and directly accepted the check.

While he didn't save lives for the money, he couldn't refuse when someone offered it.

"Dr. Rhys, I have other matters to attend to. We'll meet again."

"Remember, if you run into trouble, come find me at the Torbys Residence."

Isabela gave a parting nod and briskly departed.

Having just been pulled out of the river, she was a mess and needed to freshen up quickly.

"Hey!"

The head of the security team suddenly glared at Elmer and said menacingly, "You said that if Dr. Rhys can save my young lady with three needles, you will eat what's on the ground. Now, eat it!"

"Huh?"

Staring at the vomit on the ground, Elmer was left dumbfounded.

It was all stuff that had been puked up, sticky and gross, with a dead fish in there.

How could he possibly eat that?

"Eat it!"

The security team leader glared, his entire demeanor oozing menace.

Several other security personnel moved closer, their eyes full of aggression, ready to pounce if Elmer dared to refuse.

"Fine... I'll eat it..."

Elmer had no choice but to reluctantly pick up the vomit from the ground and consume every last bit of it, not leaving a drop.

He felt nauseous several times and nearly vomited himself, but he forced it down in fear of being made to eat it again.

"Hmph! Consider yourself lucky, kid. It's because Dr. Rhys saved you. Otherwise, I'd have torn you apart!"

The security team leader kicked Elmer to the ground and then led his men away in a huff.

Healwell had narrowly escaped disaster.

"You're amazing, Dr. Rhys, bringing someone back from the brink of death like that? Incredible!"

"Young man, you must be Dr Grantwood's direct disciple, right? How else could you have such incredible medical skills?"

"That's right, that must be it. This young doctor is clearly Dr Grantwood's successor, while that other guy is just a fake!"

As Isabela departed, a group of older folks immediately surrounded Dustin, showering him with praise and compliments, showing great enthusiasm.

As for Elmer, he stood on the sidelines, receiving nothing but cold stares.

"Unbelievable!"

Elmer gnashed his teeth in frustration.

Clearly, he was Master Elijah's top disciple, so why was this young man more popular than him?

"Young doctor, your medical skills are so extraordinary. Would you mind taking a look at my ailment? My back has been in excruciating pain."

"Ma'am, please don't cut in line. I was here first."

"My condition is more severe; let me see the doctor first."

"I have a heart condition and can't handle stress. If you say that, I'll just lie down right here."

The elderly folks chatted excitedly, all making requests for Dustin to treat their illnesses.

Seeing their overwhelming enthusiasm, Dustin couldn't help but feel a headache coming on.

He never expected that saving someone's life would bring him so much trouble.

"What's going on?"

At that moment, an elderly man with white hair and beard, dressed in a long robe, entered the scene. Despite his advanced age, he had a dignified bearing and sharp, discerning eyes, giving him an air of wisdom and authority. It was none other than the renowned physician from Healwell, Dr. Elijah!

Nope only west lucozia province is different because of the title given to Rufus rhys as Prince of Theswe not only for his meritus deeds and accomplishment and since he married the sister of the emperor of dragon marsh considering him part of the royal family. provinces are only govern by governors like Lord Xenos or General Stature or highly titles from viscount count dukes etc. official 🤗

Right! And great input! Thanks a lot. Although it can get pretty confusing due to the title used for Rufus in the Chinese version. In English, there's no direct translation for that title, so it could be "King" or "Prince" of Theswe. That's going to be a bit tricky for us translators. 🤔 The most safest translation can be "Lord" of Theswe but it will demote him because a Lord can mean anything.

But as the story unfolds, we'll naturally find out whether he's a king or prince, and I'm just as eager to discover that in the upcoming chapters I've yet to read. 📚😄

Charlie and Claire were still married. Charlie just perpetually hides his identity from her... And has like 10 other women pursuing him. 😂 Especially Stephanie and Nanako.

Dahlia's character is so weird. Even when she tries to compete for Dustin, she still has some dude with her literally everywhere. At her home, at her work, at the hospital, out with her to every meal or social gathering. Basically hanging on her 24/7
